@SarahFarrellKS2 I thought so. I am a secondary teacher so have been using them with bottom sets to start the lessons. If there are other similar resources, for secondary, out there somewhere then let me know. ππ
@mrbartonmaths@SuperbSchools Has anyone successfully used the whiteboards on walls approach? I worry I would use them for a while and then stop.
What do teachers/pupils use them for? All classwork standing up working on the walls? Would love to see what it looks like and hear if it works. #edutwitter
@brad_teacher I have been thinking about this recently - has anyone gone to the side of whiteboards on the walls for students to work on? I would worry that the whiteboards would be used for a while and then fade away again. Would love to have ideas to show me what is possible. #edutwitter
@Korenth69@susanbuckman@mrbartonmaths@UoD_ESW I have been thinking about this recently - can anyone describe how they use the whiteboards in class, day to day? I would worry that the whiteboards would be used for a while and then fade away again. Would love to have ideas to show me what is possible.
Having not really read too much/enough books on teaching maths I have read both of @mrbartonmaths books. Both very good and made me wonder why I hadn't read more before... What books should I look into now?? #edutwitter
@mathsjem Best wishes for a speedy recovery. π You don't know me but I started using your website this year... It is such a great help. Here's to a better 2021 ππ»ππ»
@mrshawthorne7 Like. I would like to use more manipulatives...What is the oldest year groups you could use these for and what topics could it be helpful in the teaching of?
I have been engaging on #edutwitter for a week and now I have about 20 tabs open with different resources I could use when I get back to school...π€π€―πππ
I reread part of @mrbartonmaths book on #FluencyPractice v #IntelligentPractice... I had been using the intelligent practice too early as the first practice. But it would be better to use it later when pupils can really think and come up with their expectations.
