The FAST (Finding Aging biomarkers by Searching existing Trials) Initiative has received an @impetusgrants grant to support its aims of establishing biomarkers to advance development of biomarkers for clinical trials in aging. @Danbelsky and I are excited! https://t.co/plIVWMZSlq

Excited to be in San Diego for an in-person conference in a long time!! Looking forward to the next 5 days of world class research in Alzheimer’s and presenting our work on multiomics of tau progression from @abbvie!

Today in partnership with @emblebi, we’re releasing predicted structures for nearly all catalogued proteins known to science, which will expand the #AlphaFold database by over 200x - from nearly 1 million to 200+ million structures: https://t.co/GjVES2pBFY 1/
It's here–the deepest, sharpest infrared view of the universe to date: Webb's First Deep Field.
Previewed by @POTUS on July 11, it shows galaxies once invisible to us. The full set of @NASAWebb's first full-color images & data will be revealed July 12: https://t.co/63zxpNDi4I
🆕 @NatureGenet
The discovery of 42 new genomic loci associated with Alzheimer's disease. Remarkable progress in the genomic underpinnings of the disease with nothing to show for an effective treatment yet

Excited to share our work published in @AgingCell summarizing top FDA-approved drugs that can be repurposed as gerotherapeutics / geroprotectors
Amazing collaboration with @SandraAleksicMD, David Berger, Felipe Sierra, @george_kuchel and @NirBarzilaiMD

@vallens This is a very important point. I'd be curious to see how the number of donors varies between tissues of origin. Is it likely that most of the 100+ donor studies are with PBMCs?
Geroscientists often speak of “hallmarks of aging”. To become a hallmark, we need to show 1) it changes with aging and 2) fixing it (with any of a variety of tools e.g. genetics, drugs, nutrients) will improve both healthspan and life span in mammals (pre-clinical animal models).
Our new review has recently been published! https://t.co/N5bP4rxZ7q
Covering the current state of single-cell omics & imaging technologies, & computational methods to perform integrative analyses of these datatypes to discover new insights, with case-studies from #aging
Excited to share our recent findings showing a progressive fibrotic muscle phenotype in patients with CKD that is dialysis-responsive. Fantastic team effort!
