In his welcoming remarks, the Centre Director @DrKinyanjui conveyed the IGAD Executive Secretary @DrWorkneh regards and reflected on the P/CVE Strategy journey since 2015. He emphasized that the validation workshop should not only refine technical interventions, but also address the everyday attitudes, values, and behaviours that strengthen social cohesion. He underscored that mistreatment fuels extremism noting that the reviewed Strategy must help guide what we consider “ordinary human behaviour.” #PCVE #StrategyReview

@YPSinKenya A question to Osido; VE has gendered dimensions. Young women and young men are affected differently. Now, the issue of lack of upward mobility or lack of job opportunities driving young people to radicalisation ,does it affect them differently?
@NCTC_Kenya There is need for awareness creation for citizens to understand this space, that VE is not far fetched and that they are involved and affected in one way or the other.
@IGADsecretariat Amazing work there @KuiNjiiri and team. Glad to know that the gender conversations on P/CVE policies and legislations continues. #gender4PCVE
