Great discussion so far! Some of you refer to solitary as being punishment. According to Correctional Service Canada, solitary is NOT punishment and is not related to the crime that was committed. It is only imposed for three reasons, as outlined below. Thoughts?

@yourHJEN Counsel should be informed that their client is being placed under administrative segregation and should be allowed to consult their client about it. Maybe administrative segregation could be considered as a separate sentence and have its own trial #hld2018
