Sen. @SenatorSlotkin, let’s look at the manufacturing jobs Michigan lost BEFORE Trump returned to office.

July 2023: 626,200 jobs.
December 2024: 595,600.

That’s 30,600 jobs gone under Biden and Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

September 2026: 583,800.

Michigan has lost another 11,800 since December 2024.

And since Whitmer became governor in January 2019? Michigan manufacturing employment is down 45,100 jobs.

All from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, seasonally adjusted.

Why does your accounting of Michigan’s manufacturing decline begin only when Trump returned to office?
