Gen Gaddafi a NUP political prisoners shares a emotional story on how he got to know that he is a father.
Went to prison when am scared of one thing, not having a child. And my guys used to mock me that I have no kid. But one day a family came at prison and was called to meet them. They told me how my baby mama had sent them that I had a child of 7 years. I told them that was impossible till they described a girl and indeed I knew her.
She later came in the prison with a child looking just like me, when I asked her why she did not tell me she said she didn't know my names nor where I was from because I told her different names. Not untill I was on TV then she remembered the face and how the kid looked exactly like me.
Am now a dad of 7.
🚨 WATCH: Lt. Herbert Mabonga gives an update on the three of his paternal uncles who were reportedly arrested while trying to establish his whereabouts.
I visited Uganda amid an ongoing reign of terror and saw that, for all my criticism of traditional U.S. foreign policy&human rights, it's now immeasurably worse. Trump/Rubio's withdrawal from public diplomacy leaves China, unchecked abuse & surveillance.

Uganda's long-serving autocratic leader Yoweri Museveni is stepping up surveillance and repression as he faces and broadly popular challenger in @HEBobiWine, who has stirred support by vowing to oppose Museveni's corruption and to promote democracy. https://t.co/jA4D7HVCqP
Very pleased this evening to receive back our comrades Mugumya Gaddafi, Wakabi Grace Smart and Kabege Majid. Gaddafi and Smart have been detained for close to 20 months without trial while Kabege has spent close to 9 months in detention. The pleasant coincidence is that Gaddafi and Kabege are biological brothers and have been released on the same day albeit the different courts and charges - all trumped up. Very grateful to all those who continue to demand for the freedom of all political prisoners as well as those who support them legally, financially, spiritually and in all other ways. We must continue working to put an end to this situation where so many citizens lose productive years for simply believing that their country deserves better leadership.

In this stirring video, a mother asks how a regime that brutalised her during the January 2026 elections for simply holding the Ugandan flag can now claim the moral authority to forcefully send her S6-leaver child to Kyankwanzi for “patriotism” training!
Having come to the realization that citizens are now politically awake, the Museveni dictatorship is now trying to indoctrinate our unsuspecting children. WE MUST NOT ALLOW IT!
"Ugandans have discovered that, increasingly, there is nowhere to hide. Civic life here is defined by thickening webs of state surveillance built with foreign help. ... Technology has created an intrusive eye that never blinks, a stealthy weapon for dictators keen to stifle speech and thought."

Under our Constitution, the military is supposed to be subject to civilian authority. Even a general is supposed to be below the lowest-ranking minister. -@GeorgeMusisi4, MP- Kira Municipality

WATCH: Lt. Mabonga is back, this time quoting the Constitution of Uganda and shedding more light on UPDF laws and the constitutional principles governing the armed forces. So @ChrisOMagezi and your boss cabbage Muhoozi I expect you be here listening!
Supporting NUP is not a crime!
NUP is a legally registered political party, with the right to mobilize and engage in political activities.
Let’s stop the cowardly acts of persecution.
Comrade Sam Mugumya has been taken to lower Mbuya basement. All his former guards were arrested last night and taken to SFC for statements pending court martial.
“Personally I have evidenced and observed matters that really my heart cannot contain anymore. Matters that relate to arbitrary arrests, disappearances, kidnaps, abductions, torture, you know my heart cannot uphold anymore. As Ugandans we have beared other inflictions of all form from the government. But when it comes to humanity, they are matters that concern all of us,” Lt. Herbert Mabonga Matanda stated in his September 30th 2026 commentary on the horrors he witnessed in the basement/ ‘safe house’ manned by the SFC (Special Forces Command), located at Abayita Ababiri, Kabaale B village on Entebbe Road.
We have severally reiterated our position that matters of humanity must be a concern for all the men in uniform and all Ugandans of conscience because these repressive actions are indiscriminate, and anyone can fall prey irrespective of their political views.
The basement is clearly a replica of the infamous Nazi concentration camps. Lots of dehumanizing things have been done to people held at this horrific place. It is a place where many Ugandans who disagree with the regime are held and tortured to death for the less resilient captives. Just as Lt. Mabonga reveals, it is a cardinal duty of all men in uniform to patriotically stick to the oath of serving the country as opposed to serving one family (First Family). Soldiers must at all time stick to humanity as they execute their constitutional duties.
The judiciary on the other hand must play its part now that there is glaring evidence of the enforced disappearances that we have been talking about overtime. Our legal team has severally filed Habeas Corpus applications in pursuit of the unconstitutional release of political prisoners but sadly, these humanitarian efforts are usually turned down even when the abductors are captured on camera. If only our judicial officers could independently operate without fearing any reprisals, then maybe the wheels of justice will roll in favor of the victims of the state sanctioned disappearances. But someday, the oppressed Ugandans shall break the chains and be free.

You people will be surprised where the torture, illegal detention, the rape, & sodomisation by regime operatives happens. It happens in "normal" houses in Ntinda, Makindye, Entebbe; the areas we live in. That's where most of the torture happens. That standalone house not far from your apartment with some young men coming in and out could be a torture chamber, actually!
Then there are the people who do the torturing. Very "normal guys"! The guys you meet at Bandali Rise, Kyadi, Phaneero Grounds, the guys you play High School League with, they are "that normal" in their everyday life! When you talk to people abducted and tortured by Ugandan state operatives about the where, and how the perpetrators looked like, you'll be shocked!
One person was abducted upcountry, more than five hour drive from Kampala. Throughout the journey, the men in the drone were playing Lunyankore gospel songs, one after another! One of them even prayed for a safe journey before they set off with their next victim!
So, don't be surprised how normal this place looks.
Deepest condolences to you Hon. @MarthaKarua on the passing of your beloved father, Mwalimu Jackson Karua. We stand in prayerful solidarity with you and your family during this period of grief.
After a combined eight months in prison on politically motivated charges, our Deputy President Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi has finally regained his freedom. We welcome him home, and salute every comrade who stood by him and his family through those difficult months. We remain confident that the people of Uganda will have the last word on the destiny of our country notwithstanding whatever attempts the regime makes to silence their voice!

You can easily pass by this house and think it's a normal home. Yet this is a torture chamber manned by SFC, located at Abayita Ababiri, Kabaale B Village on Entebbe Road. At this house and the adjacent facilities, Ugandans and non-Ugandans are subjected to incredible torture. Some accounts indicate that some victims could not take it and when they died, they were simply buried behind this house in unmarked graves.
And yet this is just one of the many torture chambers operated by the Museveni system. There are several such places in every Division of Kampala and Wakiso, and in most districts of Uganda. Sadly, these are houses in our neighborhoods, and the people who commit atrocities against our people live amongst us. Thankfully, they're being exposed one by one, and so shall they account for every crime committed against our people!
Here is a letter which Lt. Mabonga Herbert Matanda wrote to Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi while he was in that torture chamber, where he spent 19 days. He passed on the original letter to him, but took a picture of it, which he released yesterday.
Mabonga represents thousands of senior, mid-level and junior officers in all departments of UPDF, police and intelligence services who vehemently oppose the criminal system but are held captive and cannot speak out. The only difference is that Mabonga had the courage to speak out. We have long told the people of Uganda that each time we're arrested or abducted, these officers will approach us and tell us how they're more disgusted by the system than most people can imagine.
Those who agree with the system and its atrocities are a very small fraction who are privileged and benefit from the pervasive corruption and nepotism within the forces. I remain hopeful that one day, the patriotic officers will have enough courage to stand with the oppressed people of Uganda and live true to their oath to pay allegiance to the nation of Uganda and not the falling regime of blood and national shame. UGANDA WILL BE FREE!
