🎥 VIDEO: On April 11, 1994, as Tutsi sought refuge at the former ETO Kicukiro, they appealed to the Belgian peacekeepers, asking, “You are leaving us without assistance. Do you think abandoning people to die is right?”

In response, they were informed that government gendarmes would ensure their safety, despite the fact that it was widely known that these same forces were actively involved in killing the very people they were now expected to protect.
