I reviewed the functioning of the entire CCTV network in the 3 commissionerates today . There are 4 types of projects - City wide surveillance, Community, Safe City and Nenu Saitham - which installed about 6 lakh cameras since 2014-15 . Many are not functioning now and since they are crucial to the maintenance of peace and crime control , it was discussed with all the stakeholders and vendors what steps need to be taken to repair and replace them and connect them to the iCCC in Banjara Hills .The expenditure involved also was estimated. This will now be projected to government for sanction
