ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಮಲೆಬೆನ್ನೂರಿನ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಜೂನಿಯರ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಗಂಭೀರ ಘಟನೆ ಖಂಡನೀಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಾದ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಎಂ. ಬಿ. ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆಂದು ಪೋಷಕರು ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಮಾನತು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ಅದೇ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಅದೇ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಾಗಿ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸಂವೇದನಾಶೀಲತೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಭದ್ರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದುದು. ಇಂತಹ ಆರೋಪಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.

ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪೋಷಕರು ನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸಮಂಜಸವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಆತಂಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳು ನ್ಯಾಯಸಮ್ಮತವಾಗಿವೆ.
ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ ಎಂ. ಬಿ. ಅವರನ್ನು ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರ ಹುದ್ದೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ವಜಾ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು,ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಗೆ ಖಚಿತ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು, ಇಂತಹ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಮರುಕಳಿಸದಂತೆ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಿನ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರಬೇಕು.
ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿವಿಧ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ರದ್ದು – ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟನೆ ನೀಡಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ

ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಮಂದಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಪಿಂಚಣಿ ರದ್ದು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸುಮಾರು 1,53,000 ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಪಿಂಚಣಿಗಳು ರದ್ದಾಗಿರುವ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಗಂಭೀರ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿಂತಾಜನಕ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕ್ರಮ ಕಾನೂನುಬದ್ಧವೇ ಅಥವಾ ಕಾನೂನುಬಾಹಿರವೇ ಎಂಬುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟನೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು.

ಒಮ್ಮೆ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳು ರದ್ದಾದರೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಮರುಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ರೂಪಾಯಿ ವೆಚ್ಚವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಓಡಾಟ ಮಾಡುವುದು ತುಂಬಾ ಕಷ್ಟಕರ. ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲ, ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅನೇಕ ಬಡ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರ್ಗತಿಕ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಬದುಕಿನ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಹಿರಿಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದು ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ರದ್ದಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಿಂಚಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣ ಮರುಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಬೇಕು, ಈ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯ ಕಾನೂನುಬದ್ಧತೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟನೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು, ಯಾವುದೇ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡಜನರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗದಂತೆ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು

ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

The PFI was registered under the Societies Registration Act, and all its transactions and activities were open. It is a secular organisation, yet it has been projected as a terrorist organisation. The fact remains that when these accused were arrested, the PFI was a legal organisation. It was banned only later, and even then, it was declared an unlawful organisation, not a terrorist organisation. Therefore, when the organisation was legal, all its activities were lawful. There were no unlawful activities anywhere in the State of Delhi. The accused are from different states, yet they are being prosecuted for the same cause of action. There were six cases registered, and all the documents are common. The same document appears in Chennai, the same document appears in Patna, and the same document appears here. This is what we call the doctrine of sameness. For one act, there cannot be six charge sheets. But, peculiarly, in this case, six charge sheets have been filed despite there being no event at all. Throughout his life, Maulana Nadvi participated in religious scholarship, public discourse, and interfaith engagement. Like many influential scholars, some of his views invited debate, but his contributions to Islamic learning remain significant.

For the past 2 years, the youngsters of Ilkal, Bagalkot have been continuously striving to ensure that the Anjuman-e-Islam Ilkal functions according to the Waqf Common By-Laws 2017, and that a proper General Body Election is conducted to form a new committee. However, the Ex- President, Usman Gani Humnabad, who has reportedly remained in the position for nearly 20 years, does not want elections to take place and wishes to continue in the same post. Because of this approach, the innocent public of Ilkal is being misled through false assurances and misinformation.

Furthermore, the Bagalkot District Waqf Office is also allegedly supporting this situation. Whenever the youngsters of Ilkal submit objections or complaints, instead of forwarding them to the Karnataka State Board of Auqaf for proper consideration, they are allegedly ignored or misrepresented. Such actions are making it extremely difficult to follow the legal and procedural framework laid down under the Waqf rules.

Through this message, I sincerely request the concerned authorities to review the matter of Anjuman-e-Islam Ilkal immediately, and issue an order for conducting fair and transparent elections at the earliest. I also request that strict directions be given to the District Waqf Officer to stop misleading the public and ensure that due process is followed in accordance with the law.

I want to say to that tourist woman, you are not the Constitution of India, and you have no right to mock or question someone else’s clothing or speak to them disrespectfully in such a manner. This is India, where only the Constitution and the rule of law prevail, not the hateful words of psychologically influenced Hindutva extremism.

@ASIGoI My appeal to all government authorities is to uphold and follow the Constitution of India. Freedom of religion is a right guaranteed to every citizen, not something that belongs only to those who falsely try to impose their dominance over others.
