Dear chennai police
I am writing again in middle of night without any sleep due to people shouting in turf at this time.(1am) I am crying for help for more than 6 month to close the operation/reduce noise of turf after 10 pm .Why chennai police(as a system) doens't have empathy for a common man? Why it is so hard do your job ?do you think peaceful sleep is not big thing?Do I need to be a celebrity or ips officer or ias officer or affluent politician to make this happen? Assume for instance if belongs to them.If I get justice/action is the system really fair? Is this how system will treat honest law abiding citizen? Whoever reading this just imagine while you are sleeping,someone shouting at you continuously but you can't do anything but keep your anger with you and try to sleep.even after this do you really feel peaceful sleep is not a big thing? Do you feel helpless? Do you feel lost hope on the very system that make you safe ?

BLACK FLAG PROTEST AGAINST PM MODI'S CHENNAI VISIT;
POLICE HEAD CONSTABLE ARRESTED IN MUTHA PUDUPET NEAR AVADI

A head constable attached to the Avadi Tank Factory police station staged a black-flag protest near his residence in Muthapudupet on Saturday against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chennai scheduled for Sunday. The constable, Kothandapani, was protesting over the treatment of his 10-year-old daughter at the Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children in Egmore.

Kothandapani, who lives within the Muthapudupet police limits, had previously worked in the Prohibition Enforcement Wing. He had raised allegations of medical negligence against the Egmore Govt Institute of Child Health and Hospital in connection with his daughter’s treatment.

According to Kothandapani, his daughter had been undergoing treatment for nephrotic syndrome at the hospital since she was three years old. In October 2021, she suffered an epileptic seizure while undergoing treatment. He alleged that doctors diagnosed her condition as brain fever and prescribed medication that subsequently caused complications.

Kothandapani further alleged that his daughter developed problems in her right leg, eventually lost sensation below the knee and later required amputation. He also alleged that dialysis was performed without obtaining consent from him or his wife. He later shifted his daughter to a private hospital in Vellore, where she continued treatment.

The head constable had also accused the Egmore hospital authorities of preparing a statement stating that there had been no medical negligence and using his signature on the document without his consent.

Hospital director Dr Rama Chandramohan denied the allegation and said Kothandapani had signed a document in 2022 stating that he was aware of the complications associated with his daughter’s illness and that there had been no negligence by the doctors.
Kothandapani disputed the hospital’s claim and said he had been asked to sign a blank sheet in connection with his daughter’s discharge documents.

He had earlier sought government intervention and approached the Secretariat to submit a petition seeking an inquiry. He claimed that he was denied entry.

Kothandapani staged Saturday’s protest ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, during which Modi was scheduled to attend programmes in Chennai, including the inauguration of the Poonamallee-Vadapalani Metro line and a music research centre at IIT-Madras.

Update:went again to police station.(Offficer told me, inspector not available due to some urgent duty.he will be available on Monday (we also heard from neighbour who is doctor (also heart patient) suffering from noise /shouting at midnight in turf. Multiple families are affected! We are just asking to close/restrict the turf at night alone Nothing more nothing less. Is asking peaceful sleep is big thing?

All GCC officials take bribe and don't act on such complaints. Majority of Nanganallur is also looming under similar situation. Roads are obstructed, jalli all on carriageway/footpath , footpath/roads encroached with construction materials. Thanks @sameerangs for inaction. @chennaipolice_ One question sir. I have my own parking inside house. But in streets people park irresponsibly occupying major portion of the road. difficult to bring my car in afraid of hitting their vehicle. When politely asked, abusing me and threatening me. What should I do?

Peaceful sleep is a basic right.Midnight turf disturbance touching 12AM is completely unacceptable.Someone in our apartment complained about the noise pollution.Phenomenal work by 100 call to resolving the dispute took exactly 10 mins.Kudos to Moulivakkam Police! @chennaipolice_

This is tip of iceberg after this
1)3 times distress call over the period of 3 months
2)2 times police station vosuywith written complaint from the apartment
3)3 gcc complaint
4) countless time reminded turf owner about the problem
I just feel regret now for appreciating the police which makes no sense now! considering why it is keep happening

Till now 4 timeswe have called at midnight (100) with police (they will just come and ask the turf to close within few hours they open again)
2.3 gcc complaint (2 already closed without proper resolution)
3.written complaint to the same police station but they didn't give me csir number?

Thanks for the reply sir currently we raised the complaint to gcc(closed saying need police intervention) and police saying we need to councillor I didn't understand if they are breaking law by shouting at midnight say 1am why police simply can't take action what their limitations why they are asking for councillor intervention?
