The Lehigh Gap Fire (aka Blue Mountain Fire) in Pennsylvania took off this evening and crews have pulled back due to mid to long range spotting.

Fire activity has increased drastically and the fire has grown substantially. A part of the Appalachian trail runs through this area as well.

Strong winds continue to push this fire into the evening. Thanks to the subscriber who shared this nighttime view of the fire.
