@OKsooner931 @volcaholic1 A 500mw wind farm uses approx 25,000 gallons of oil a year for lubrication. Burning oil to get 500mw would require 2,000 barrels an hour (42 gallons in a barrel) which is 84,000 gallons an hour. 25,000 a year v 84,000 an hour. Which do you think is worse?

@AnthoBvs @JimOnToast @volcaholic1 Right and that isn’t really viable in South Dakota as well as energy demand. All of South Dakota’s population lives in one place and it gets its energy mostly from wind and hydro
