Globally, data centers are expected to consume more than 4% of electricity by 2035: BNEF. If the facilities were a country they’d rank fourth in electricity use, behind only China, the US and India. Energy bills near these data centers are already surging. https://t.co/GazipnP535

LMFP vs. LFP: The Shocking Truth About Battery Cycle Life 🔋📈!
Hey there, battery enthusiasts and curious minds! We all love our gadgets, but there's one burning question that's been on everyone's minds: What's the deal with LMFP and its cycle life? Is it like LFP? Well, buckle up, because we're about to uncover some electrifying secrets straight from a recent CATL patent.
Picture this: LMFP, but not just any LMFP – LMFP64, composed of a tantalizing 60% Mn and 40% Fe. You might be thinking, "How does it compare to the trusty old LFP?" Hold onto your batteries, folks, because this is where it gets interesting.
CATL's patent unveils that LMFP can strut its stuff and achieve a cycle life that's as impressive as LFP's. That's right – similar to LFP! But wait, there's more! This patent takes things to the next level by mixing LMFP with NMC or NMCA cathodes to create some fantastic battery composites that have the potential to extend the cycle life of NMC cells, which usually max out at around 2000 cycles.
Now, here's the plot twist: Some of these composites, featuring 80% LMFP and just 20% NMC or NCA, are defying all expectations by pushing the cycle life beyond a whopping 4200 cycles! That's right – they're outperforming LMFP alone. It's like seeing a rookie battery turn into the MVP of the game!
But what's the secret sauce here? Well, that's where the academicians come in. There could be some electrifying synergistic effects at play, just waiting to be explored. It's like discovering a hidden treasure trove in the world of batteries, and the possibilities are simply shocking.
So, there you have it, folks – the scoop on LMFP's cycle life and its game-changing role in the world of battery technology. It's proof that in the battery world, you can't judge a cell by its cover. Stay curious, and who knows what other electrifying surprises the battery world has in store for us next! (If you are wondering. Yes, I took help from ChatGPT to write this ) @LimitingThe #battchat
BREAKING:CATL 46950 for FIRST teardown (for BMW)
Yesterday, CaishenRoad teardowned CATL 46950 cell on live, We found that CATL's 46950 is the BEST large cylindrical battery we have ever seen made.
Specification:
Volt: 3.65v
Capacity: 34Ah
Energy density: 291Wh/kg
Important discovery:
1, The bends and weld at the bottom cover of the battery are coated with blue UV glue. CaishenRoad believes that this is for rust prevention.
2,The bottom cover edge of the battery has four indentations, which facilitate the welding of the negative current collector plate inside. It also facilitates better welding with the shell.
3,The welding between the negative and positive current collectors and the electrode tab is very strong and has extremely high strength. It is several times the pulling force at EVE or Tesla.
4,Tab adopts the technique of long cutting and kneading, which surprised the gods that tab can also knead so well.
5,The positive pole and current collector plate adopt a pattern similar to EVE with injection holes and then welded with sealed aluminum blocks, but the difference is that their positive insulation pad and positive pole are a combination structure, which is very sturdy.
6,Because the energy density is already close to 300Wh/kg, and due to the higher space utilization efficiency of the positive electrode column component and the bottom cover compared to Eve and Tesla, it is possible to achieve an energy density close to 300Wh/kg, indicating that the cathode electrode must be a high nickel formula and the anode electrode must have been doped with a lot of SiC.
7,Perhaps due to the use of a high nickel formula and an energy density close to 300wh/kg, the thickness of the battery case is 0.5mm, which is similar to the thickness of the Gen1 Tesla case. It seems that the shell of this high nickel formula cannot be easily thinned.

This 132-cm-tall, China-developed #HumanoidRobot features 23 to 43 joint motors and a force-position hybrid control system, giving it flexibility beyond ordinary people. It can perform standing broad jumps and simulate human hand movements to achieve precise object manipulation.
The power of generative models — now embodied in humanoids.
Announcing DreamControl –– After a year-long research effort at General Robotics — we present a scalable framework for whole-body humanoid control that fuses diffusion priors with reinforcement learning to unlock real-world scene interaction.
Diffusion + RL → natural whole-body skills on real robots.
DreamControl enables humanoids to move beyond locomotion demos → performing natural, human-like skills such as ––
Picking & lifting objects, Opening drawers & doors, Precise punching, kicking, and jumping, Bimanual manipulation tasks
Our key innovation: a diffusion prior over human motion that guides RL, eliminating the need for massive teleoperation datasets, and producing motions that look human while transferring to real hardware.
Trained purely in simulation, deployed on the @UnitreeRobotics G1 humanoid, DreamControl policies run in real time, bridging sim-to-real with unprecedented naturalness.
We leverage a novel hybrid edge + cloud infrastructure that runs RL-trained policies on the edge backed by powerful AI models running in the cloud
This is the next step in General Robotics’ journey toward general-purpose humanoid assistants that interact, adapt, and assist autonomously.
