Patrick Bailey has a .190 wOBA. That’s pretty bad.
His .283 xwOBA isn’t amazing either.
But the 93 point difference makes for the 2nd largest gap in MLB.
Pair that with a swing overhaul & significant bat speed gains.
it’s not hard to see him turning it around
BREAKING: The Cleveland Guardians are acquiring two-time Gold Glove-winning catcher Patrick Bailey in a trade with the San Francisco Giants for the No. 29 pick in this year's draft and left-handed pitching prospect Matt "Tugboat" Wilkinson, sources tell ESPN.
I'm excited to announce that I've joined the Cardinals as a Fellow, Pro Acquisition for the remainder of the 2026 season!
I'm grateful to be a part of such a storied organization and thankful to @joe_douglas_ for his assistance and insight throughout this process.
Talk about a 3 true outcome player!
Munetaka Murakami has 154 PA
50 Strikeouts (32.5%)
28 Walks (18.2%)
14 Home Runs (9.1%)
92 or 59.7% of his total PA result in the 3 true outcomes
Few hitters with 40% whiff stick around in MLB.
@whitesox Munetaka Murakami?
