We’re trying a unique & fresh approach to the Podcast space for S&C, w/ things like “Practicals” w/ our guests after each episode, as shown here w/ the staff at @OLuPerformance.
Giving the listener something more concrete in addition to our conversation
Other fresh ideas coming
This needs to be heard and understood across the board.
A house is only as strong as it’s foundation and I’ve seen very few high schools who truly develop kids from the foundational steps forward. Shoutout @OLuPerformance for being an example of the foundational/basics work
Thank you to the Strength Staff at Orange Lutheran High School for hosting us for Ep. 10 of the @SpeedStrPodcast 🎙️
We had a great discussion on how to build excellence in the HS weight room, & what they did to build a system to train over 700 athletes weekly at a high level.
The cost of a training session doesn’t always dictate its value. You can pay someone $150+ and the training be horrendous.
Most parents (and athletes) don’t know better.
Easy to think that more expensive always means better.
Don’t be fooled by buzz words & “sport specificity.”
The resources are limitless! The support for our student athletes and growth opportunities are second to none! Big reason for all teams successes. These guys are good! @olubaseball@OLu_Athletics
We’re trying to change the whole high school game.
Trinity league, 3 full time strength coaches, Southern California.
DEVELOPMENT is the priority
@OLuPerformance
"Here @orangelutheran we have 800 athletes and a 5500 square foot facility with three full-time S&C coaches with over 28 years of experience between all three."

High school is the most difficult space for a S&C coach
It’s also the most vital time for the athletes’ development
That’s what makes the high school coaches the most valuable
