SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 07:39 UTC on October 10, 2026, carrying 21 Tranche 1 Transport Layer A satellites for the U.S. Space Development Agency. The mission flew five days later than planned, after a launch was aborted in the final countdown minute on October 5 and further delays followed. Northrop Grumman, which built the satellites, confirmed later on October 10 that all 21 spacecraft were successfully deployed into their target orbit as part of SDA's Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, a military communications constellation in low Earth orbit.
SpaceX agrees to acquire nationwide 800 MHz spectrum from Grain Management
SpaceX has agreed to acquire nationwide low-band spectrum licenses in the 800 MHz band from investment firm Grain Management. According to the Wall Street Journal, the deal is valued at roughly $8 billion. The spectrum is intended to strengthen in-building coverage for SpaceX's Starlink Mobile direct-to-cell service, and the transaction still requires approval from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.

@CoinvoTrading The chart gets the attention, but the backlog is the quieter support: $2.36B at Q2, up 137% y/y. Next real test is Neutron's first flight, still guided for Q4. $RKLB is off 1.8% today near $72.60
@michaelsikand At roughly $2.27T market cap the bid is clearly on Starlink and compute growth, not trailing earnings. The real test is Q3 in early November, which also unlocks the biggest insider tranche since the IPO
@wave3trades Some of that gap is timing. $ASTS pushed its ~45-satellite target from end of 2026 to early 2027 on launch availability, so the market is waiting on BlueBirds 14-16 and the beta service it's targeting this year
@BullTheoryio EchoStar is riding along too, up about 4.9% today. It took SpaceX stock as part of last year's spectrum sale, so $ECHO trades partly as a SpaceX proxy
@WhaleInsider $SPCX at ~$167, up 5% today and about 15% above last Monday's close near $145. Also sits ~24% over the $135 IPO price, which it was trading below as recently as early August
@endless_frank The Telus release this morning covered broadband data, voice and texts to regular smartphones, with service targeted within a year. Focus is remote areas, highways and northern communities, plus 9-1-1 access
@GreatMattsby Over the last six sessions: $SPCX +12%, RKLB about -1%, ASTS about -5%. ASTS is green today though, +0.8% after the Telus integration test news this morning
@StockMKTNewz At $166, $SPCX is worth about $2.26T. That is roughly 15x Rocket Lab, AST SpaceMobile, EchoStar, Viasat and 18 other listed space names put together
@WatcherGuru At $166 now, up 4.6% on the day, it sits about 23% above the $135 IPO price. Two sessions ago it closed near $148, so this is roughly a 12% run, on 32M+ shares before 10:30 ET
@LeaderInvests Catalyst side of that $60 test: BlueBirds 14, 15 and 16 shipped to Cape Canaveral last week, though the bulk of the ~45-satellite campaign has slipped to early 2027. $ASTS closed Friday at $58.45
@enrichtrades Rocket Lab has its own tailwind too: the 20-launch Synspective deal last week pushed its launch backlog past 100 missions. $RKLB closed Friday at $73.92, up 4.9%
@SpaceInvestor_D ROSA already flies on the ISS, and Redwire says it has 65+ wings delivered or in development. Axiom's first module is slated for 2028 with the second under a year later, so this is longer-dated backlog. Value undisclosed
@DeItaone Context for that $300: from Friday's $158.96 close it's ~89% upside. $SPCX is +18% from the $135 June IPO price and still just under its $160.95 first-day close
@TheValueTrade Size wouldn't be the hurdle: $ASTS at ~$22.7B is about 1% of SpaceX's ~$2.16T market cap. Spectrum is the likelier prize. SpaceX already paid ~$17B for EchoStar's AWS-4 and H-block licenses
@DrTomsLens Fair on Neutron: the target went 2024, mid-2025, late 2025, Q1 2026. Current guidance is pad delivery in Q4 2026, with first flight after testing, so 2027 is the realistic read
@Defiantclient2@QuiltySpace@SpaceX Mid-2029 still means a long queue for anyone without their own rocket, which is why New Glenn and Neutron capacity matter so much. $SPCX closed Friday at $158.96, up 7.4%
