Tell Congress to fund #OurWarOnCancer & devote the same tax dollars 2 fighting this enemy that we would 2 fight any other enemy killing 600,000 Americans/yr!
We have a @WhiteHouse & @POTUS & @VP who support #CancerResearch & know all too well the struggles of cancer patients & families. Take a minute a write to them & other reps & tell your story & push 4 more cancer research funding https://t.co/givJJIXQRA

A cancer vaccine, using the same core mRNA technology as the COVID vaccine, has shown an almost 50% reduction in the risk of melanoma recurrence or death when combined with immunotherapy.
This is why we fund MRNA technology.
Here are my own #ASCO26 Top 10 🫁 Lung Cancer Abstracts based on potential clinical impact — although there is so much exciting and innovative science being presented across the field. Looking forward to the discussions, debates, and future directions these data may inspire. #LungCancer
#ASCO Living Guideline in NSCLC. Thanks @HHorinouchi for posting. By far the most transparent. Practicing Oncologists need to know what is strongly endorsed, not just a laundry list of every approved regimen. Bravo ASCO! @ASCO
Are you going to the ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago? LCRF will be there this weekend! Visit us at the ASCO-Sponsored Patient Advocacy Booth (#13000) from May 30 - June 1. We'd love to share our #LungCancer resources and information with you.
Every cancer drug you prescribe today
was once an NIH grant nobody noticed.
Pharma celebrates launches.
Few notice the 20–40 year runway behind that.
Gleevec took 41 years from NIH-funded discovery of the Philadelphia chromosome → FDA approval.
Behind every “breakthrough” sits a graveyard of failed attempts that made it possible.
Cut that lineage today,
the next Gleevec doesn’t arrive in 2067.
Funded science matters.
If someone says NIH funded science is inefficient,
show them this.

Massive amount of updates in KRAS at #RomeLung26 from Dr. @FSkoulidis - two G12C inhibitors approved, next gen agents overcoming resistance, potential role earlier with front line combinations. Excitement for early stage role. And recent gains in G12D and pan-(K)RAS inhibitors.
Two rigorous new studies reach the same conclusion: delaying the hepatitis B birth dose means hundreds more infant infections, more liver cancer, more deaths, and millions of dollars in added costs. The evidence for the birth dose has always been strong. These studies make it even stronger.
Not so sure that HER2 mutation should be called EGFR's poor sister any more. This poor sister is going to the prom as Queen, with her dancing shoes on! 💃
Congratulations to @drshieldsmd & the @LUNGevity Foundation on a successful inaugural @SclcSMASHERS LIVE!
Thanks for the invite to chat with patients & their care partners about the most recent treatment advancements in this space!
Inaugural US Focus Meeting on Lung Cancer from @_MDEducation starts in Nashville with EGFR session. Great overviews by Drs. @LeXiuning Liza Villaruz @ZPiotrowskaMDand panel chaired by @CharuAggarwalMD. Great areas for discussion including LCT, bispecifics, and ADCs.
Congrats on a first US Focus Meeting on Lung Cancer where @CharuAggarwalMD and @StephenVLiu got just the right pieces together to build a great event- including a Monte mini-reunion in Honky-Tonk town

Well...he's not wrong.
But immunotherapy likely overcomes some problems of "targeted" therapy.
And the same resistance pathways active in some of these tumors may also cause resistance to RT (😉).
But many too often ignore the power of local therapy to contribute to cure.

Expanded access - while very welcome - is a lot of paperwork. Daraxonrasib needs to be approved so it can be used without delay by patients with metastatic #PancreaticCancer who have progressed on prior therapy.
There is a national priority voucher - what are we waiting for?
