Got about halfway through reading a 3,000 word description of the plot of Death Stranding and pulled the ripcord. Can’t imagine actually playing the game.
@AJA_Cortes Having kids to extend your "bloodline" is archaic. Humanity is ultimately doomed anyway so trying to extend your bloodline is an exercise in futility.
Also the act of conception and forcing consciousness onto someone without consent is the most selfish act every parent does.
@Unfinishedsen18@AmusedCynic1982@DocHolliday418@RampCapitalLLC You don't. And unless you believe in life after death ultimately humanity will completely cease to exist with, at the very least, the heat death of the Universe.
"Legacy" is just socially acceptable narcissism.
Sorry, but—regardless of how quick an EV is—driving a manual transmission ICE vehicle that's literally powered by tons of tiny explosions harnessed through physically manipulated gears will always be cooler than a silent EV with all the drama of a brick dropped off a skyscraper.
@atom0000002@anothercohen Same. Bought in 2017 after renting for 20 years and never looked back. Mortgage on my house is orders of magnitude cheaper than renting a place half the size in my (major) city and it's already appreciated 100% which beats the performance of the S&P500 in the same time frame.
@raymond_lau@anothercohen@_mayankkishore Yup. Didn't want to deal with always worrying when I may have to unexpectedly move out of a place/neighborhood I liked because my landlord wanted to sell the building. Or, as mentioned, couldn't remodel the place how I wanted, paint a mural on my garage, whatever. Express myself.
@GuyDealership There were waiting lists for them when the Mach E first came out. I suspect most folks who wanted one already got 'em. And then came the dreaded High Voltage Battery Junction Box issues to help temper demand more.
@carsales_guy Exactly my plan when I picked up a new G87 manual M2 this spring. Plan on it being a fun/"weekend" keeper while we soldier on into our EV future.
@flyosity@JoshDance Agreed. Teslas are all over here as well. At this point they're the equivalent of an iPhone - for some reason people think they're cool and exclusive but it's actually just pedestrian and commonplace to own one now.
