Should have been managed by agraharam and brahmins.
At 3000 estimated agraharams were there.

From a 8~9% population, it is a mere 3% or lesser in TN now.
Migrated to other states or abroad in the past decades.
Persecution need not be a physical phenomenon.
This can be even denial of equal opportunities.

Comparing the Kashmir Brahmin genocide with the issue of Brahmins of TN is not fair to the pandits. Brahmins in TN did face verbal abuse and there were stray cases of violence as in cutting of tuft or sacred thread. But to claim persecution is an exaggeration, EVR and his gang indulged and continue to indulge in toxic Brahmin hatred , it is not just restricted to them. Almost every political outfit when faced tough questions from any Brahmin immediately jump to abuse the entire community , it is ingrained. However they have not persecuted Brahmins in TN. At least not yet. And i don’t see that happening in the state of TN.

No matter how much toxicity is poured on Brahmins on various political stages and in the media / social media , common man on the streets of Tn are aware how this community has only contributed as a value addition to the state and is not a threat to their everyday life. And that is the reason Brahmins are respected despite the reigning toxicity.
