Stunned by the news of Ajit Bharti put under kind of a house arrest.

He has long been a vocal and unapologetic voice. Often raise the difficult subject fearlessly what many of us can't do or avoid. He is your alt ego. He is our alt voice.

Recently, he had been very vocal about UGC and Uttam Nagar case.

Have observed his untimely over-criticism as well. Ppl said "ab thoda jyada ho raha hai". Haa ho raha hai jyada, lekin kam me toh sunta bhi koun hai?

The holy-balloon incident shook everyone. We all know that U.P. Police would have handled it differently. Ajit was questioning because we have a precedent set by own leaders. Prove him wrong and he would be the first one to appreciate it.

Moot point- we don’t have to agree or disagree always. Ajit often push boundaries, go harsh or provoke debate. He literally pokes ppl to the core. But that is precisely the point of a triggering public debate and power of being heard. The Constitution protects the right to raise uncomfortable issues.

Like or not, voices like Ajit Bharti play an important role in public accountability and that is why you must stand with him.

I just woke up to hear the news about my friend @ajeetbharti. This week a lynch mob killed an innocent man with impunity in Uttam Nagar while police were sleeping on the job (as usual). They also did nothing to stem a predictable reaction. But they think Ajeet, who is the most peaceful & principled person I know, will get violent? This is when you know the government has lost its marbles.
