Today, like every other day, Israel will commit war crimes.
They'll murder children.
They'll steal lands.
They'll bomb homes.
They'll do it with impunity and the backing of those who claim to care about "human rights".
Do everything you can.
Use your voice.

For most people, international migration means crossing a nearby border, not an ocean.
Let’s look at Asia, the most populous continent. When an Asian emigrant leaves their home country, they can move to either another Asian country or one of the other five continents. Six out of ten Asian emigrants stay within Asia.
European and North American emigrants show an even stronger tendency to stay in their continent, at 70% and 87%, respectively. In Africa and South America, this share is smaller, at about half.
While this data aims to include illegal migrants, experts acknowledge the challenges in fully measuring this population.
It makes sense that most migrants stay on the same continent. For instance, people might prefer places where they share a language or culture, have family nearby, or can return home cheaply and more quickly.
Some startling figures on infrastructure at risk in the new England flood risk assessment.
Over 30% of roads and railways at risk today, rising to 50% due to climate change.
Large % of other critical infrastructure also already at risk, all rising in future too.
🌍 Natural world heritage sites are at growing risk under rapid climate change, especially from extreme climate events, a @natureportfolio study shows.
Urgent action and adaptation is needed to safeguard our irreplaceable natural heritage 🌎

“This is a vicious circle. Climate change is making geopolitics less stable, which harms climate action. This will worsen climate change, meaning more geopolitical instability, and so on.” https://t.co/JjH7uX9y11
Delighted in the liberation of the torture prison of Saydnaya. In 2016 we met five survivors and together reconstructed the prison from their recollections. https://t.co/oJhOOiDZ9j
After targeting Jabalia, the Israeli military is continuing its campaign to forcefully displace Palestinians from northern Gaza, this time from Beit Lahia. Multiple schools, serving as some of the last remaining shelters in the area, have been set on fire. Palestinians who followed the designated evacuation routes were attacked as they attempted to flee, while reports indicate that many who remained were massacred in their homes. Kamal Adwan Hospital has been targeted yet again through both strikes and forced evacuations, leaving it without medical supplies or sufficient staff to treat the mounting numbers of injured civilians.
Get a cup of coffee and listen to Hannah Ritchie (Our World in Data; Uni Oxford) explain in 12 minutes how we can solve the climate crisis. We have the means to do it. But we must overcome the powerful resistance by those who benefit from the current fossil fuel system.

Polar bears may have roamed ice age Scotland: Here’s a recent BBC article edited onto a 1-page reading sheet. I remember first hearing about this in the 2004 documentary British Isles – A Natural History. Fascinating to get this update. Link above. #geography#geographyteacher
