@BrettErickson28@Rory_Johnston They probably have mined it at different points, my guess is it's a small enough area that the US can consistently sweep it. An operation that no doubt is costing the US many $$$.
Venezuelan heavy sour is great for the US because that is what most of their refineries are setup to process. However my totally unqualified guess would be that the breakeven for those Venezuelan barrels is probably at least $50-60 USD, meaning the US would have to pay more than that for production to grow meaningfully down there. Meanwhile Saudi's breakeven is probably like $10 USD. Hard to compete.
Pretty good quarter besides that... One other question that I have that went unanswered in the call was, why did they acquire that gas plant? I haven't seen anything else about that. Also im excited to see if they can pump those production numbers up with their pure play water flood strategy.
@Dadofthree132@KramerKarma1 I don't get why their shares outstanding aren't decreasing, I just listened to the call and he explained that they're repurchasing LTIP shares issued to employees. Isn't that kind of a shady way to say your buying back shares? Basically issuing new shares and buying them back?
@lukify@jeremie0117 Bro only shares his autistic Savant macro strategies after you pay for his substack. Until then you'll only get tiny pearls of wisdom like "DJT wants low oil prices".
