@NTFabiano It is well known that steroid hormones regulate the brain so this is a no brainer. I just heay about the post-finasteride syndrome in a subset of men that take it. Can't believe the negative stance of some physicians towards men that suffer from it. Can you do a thread about it?
@LidskyPeter If we can rejuvenate individual cells e.g. by reprogramming them, then I don't see why it is not feasible at the organismal level. It's a matter of getting rid of senescent cells and replacing them with new ones.

An increasing number of recent studies show that the cancer fighting phenotypes observed using epigenetics inhibitors are due to viral mimicry i.e. retroviral element activation that result in IFN signalling, immune system activation and cell death.
@MitoPsychoBio I think GDF15 has been associated with aging in mice. There was a controversial study claiming they could reverse aging if they blocked GDF15 with antibodies!
Every lab has had experience with bad antibodies. They are a big waste of time, money and lab resources and lead to false and irreproducible results. Initiatives such as the SGCs YCharOS help pinpoint the good ones and will save time, money and resources.

@AIneurolab I think clinical trials of GLP1 drugs are looking into aging and neurodegeneration. RNA metabolism also seems to be important in NSC aging.
