There is a meaningful difference between a genuine, open-ended search for truth. and a process that treats a profound mystery like a legal brief.
You know John like yourself I also think there’s One Eternal and Personal Love who made us all in His image. On the other hand both atheists and theists are one and the same when it comes to any such inferences and or any apologetic arguments that provide so called evidence to the contrary. I do have a lot of respect for the honest scientist who rather says he’s not sure if there is such a thing out there, I can understand that point of view. I also have a bone to pick with the discipline of apologetics because I suppose starting with a conclusion and working your way backwards is not correct or polite either in my opinion, although I recognize many atheists do the same. After all no one knows for a fact what happens after one dies but the dead man.
@market_sleuth Hey John, I see that you are a man of the Book. I really enjoy learning about early church history I figured why not share something I find interesting.

Matt I don’t know you and I wish you well in your personal endeavors about faith and truth. I think studying the first 500 years of Christianity from a historical prepective deeply will help you sort out any in-congruencies you harbor against yourself. What helped me as well is to understand on deeper level why the Jewish people don’t necessarily accept the gospels and have been very difficult to convince throughout history.
Jesus and the Zealots by S.G.F. Brandon is great read in my opinion.
@garyvee Hey Gary you probably won’t see this post. I do want thank you for encouraging and shining a light through the inter-webs. Hope you’re doing well sir. Your posts have encouraged me personally especially recently.
A Boy was given permission to put his hand into a pitcher to get some filberts. But he took such a great fistful that he could not draw his hand out again. There he stood, unwilling to give up a single filbert and yet unable to get them all out at once. Vexed and disappointed he began to cry.
"My boy," said his mother, "be satisfied with half the nuts you have taken and you will easily get your hand out. Then perhaps you may have some more filberts some other time."
Do not attempt too much at once.
