This will be what I call,
"The thread".
Its going to serve as a small beacon to anyone out there who actually wants to talk about anything intellectually stimulating. I know that this is not how this website works or has ever worked.
@GreeneMan6 I dont think its about Charlie Kirk himself that lives rent free in their heads. Its the same reason people were defacing and mocking a George Floyd statue. Its what it represents that riles people up. Feeling forced to live under other peoples version of reality you hate.
@Catkid5785@cuthalu@AuronMacintyre@chadfelixg Its a flag of another country, which is the definition of foreign in the context of discussing another countries politics. That symbol was also an occult symbol up until the middle ages and in some circles still regarded as such.
I worked in federal law enforcement for 6 years. My agency only had 2 options: "white" and "black"....
So all crime that wasnt "black" was automatically "white"....
And trust me, we had almost 0 "white" criminals. They were all brown.
But we listed almost everyone as white.
@57Maranatha@JoelWBerry Its not an ideology, its quite literally the pillar of your society. To have social stability to be with people of common history and culture. But instead of just admitting that this experiment has been a lie you will squander the last bit of goods.
@ChrisNkyw@JoelWBerry According to Joel, youre not a real civilization until youve sold out what little inheritance you have for exotic ethnic cuisine from a food truck.
@JoelWBerry As oppose to what? The magical properties of your soil or your constitution that half the population doesnt even respect? You live in abstraction Joel and its why you import the third world thinking you can change them. The only destructive hubris is you buddy.
American education. They dont know their history. They dont know their native tongue. Theyre not even rooted in their own religious stories. Are we way past over or what?
@WilliamWolfe Neither the dictionary, nor history equates families with nations. Nor does common sense, for that matter. Most importantly, scripture makes a clear distinction between the two.
Jesus was God incarnate, he came to show that the law that the Jews followed was insufficient
He did not follow that law, he was the fulfillment of it
He was, in fact, routinely attacked by Jewish leaders for not being sufficiently deferential to that law or tradition and was sentenced to death for it
If you told a Jewish person that they were just a bad Christian they would be offended, if you tell a Christian they are just following the Jewish tradition they should be equally offended
Paul was very clear in Galatians that there is no longer Jew or gentile, Judaism is not a valid path to God because Christ has come to show us the one Way, we are the church under Christ, the true Israel
It is impossible to be faithful to God while ignoring that truth
No Jewish person believes Christianity and Judaism are the same, it's time to stop lying to people about this
@SomethingLatin@WilliamWolfe And it maintained its meaning all the way to the development of latin which in human history terms is pretty recent. Just because people are illiterate or misuse language and try to make nation synonymous with country or government does not make it so.
@SosageMcBiscuit@Noblington@CCanuck4 The good comes from what that suffering transcends to. Its a necessary ingredient for a greater good to be manifested.
