The "Big Beautifull Bill" that would cut clean energy tax credits passed the House on a 215 to 214 vote. But nuclear was largely spared in the final bill. Article link in reply.

"Nuclear energy, however, emerged a big winner in the negotiations."

"But the updated bill includes a generous carve-out for nuclear. The industry would continue to qualify for production tax credits for projects that start construction by 2031."

(The article got one thing wrong. I'm told that the actual bill text requires nuclear plants to start construction by 2028.)

"And nuclear would be the only sector able to access the practice known as “transferability,” which allows project sponsors to transfer tax breaks to third parties."
