This article highlights the incredible work being done to improve the cholera outbreak response in Angola’s hardest-hit regions. It’s a pleasure to represent the WHO Berlin Hub supporting Angola’s efforts on the ground, working side by side with national authorities and partners.
Angola has recorded over 25,000 cholera cases and 800 deaths in 2025. In Zaire Province, the case fatality rate is as high as 5.7%. @WHO is supporting with training, supplies, safe water, and community outreach.
