The NC House has just overridden HB 87 the Educational Choice for Children Act.

This bill expands school choice by helping families access scholarships for private school tuition, tutoring, and homeschooling. #ncpol

Today the house passed HB 1019 -- The Mike Clampitt First Responder Tax Fairness Act.

This bill will help to provide volunteer fire departments & rescue squads with meaningful tax relief, while having low impact on the Highway Trust Fund.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Representative Mike Clampitt. Mike was a friend, dedicated public servant, steadfast patriot, and one of the kindest people you'd ever meet.

My prayers are with his family, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be greatly missed.
