@j_macca7 @OctopusEnergy Yeah , same for us , we only have I car though, I was thinking of using the 3 hours overnight to replenish our batteries then charge our car at same time although it is double what we’re paying now . We had flux last summer before we had our ev and did quite well with that

@rogernews71 @OctopusEnergy I have a solax inverter and use OG , I switched the inverter to charge only for the duration of the cheap rate , so OG will charge the car , power the house and only charge our home battery and the battery will not discharge during those hours

Write REFUSED on the envelope and put it straight back in the postbox. Unopened.

They pay for that. Every time.
Bulk mail returns are charged back to the sender. It costs them money, processing time, admin, and data corrections. It gets logged. It tells them households are rejecting them outright.

No debate. No rage clicks. No oxygen.
If you want to go further, formally request removal from all mailing lists. Under data protection law they have to comply. That creates more work. More records. More friction.

This isn’t harassment. This is refusal.
They harass communities with lies, fear, and intimidation. You are simply declining their material and sending it back where it belongs.

Quietly. Legally. Repeatedly.
Let them pay for their own paper.
Let them process their own rejection.
Let the trail show people don’t want them.

Refusal is powerful.
Silence costs them more than shouting ever will.
And watching their budgets bleed from returned mail while support drains away is far more satisfying than any gimmick.
Some people suggest sending glitter and to make the parcel heavier and to send it back with writing on. I’m not responsible for that idea and I’m not endorsing it. What I am saying is simple.

Return to sender. They pay every time.

To be honest we had just had the hypervolt charger installed and I thought we’ve thrown enough money at it to be worrying about a 1p per kw price difference, so we just opted for OG

@SaulStaniforth So the government brought out a discount scheme for ev’s on the 1/9/25 where you could potentially get up to £3750 discount to encourage the take up of ev’s , now they’re saying they want to have it back but they don’t know how they will do it

@MartinSLewis I understand the loss of fuel duty in relation to EV’s , but to add a tax to electric vehicles while supplying a discount grant to buy them seems a little strange, yet flying which is the most polluting form of transport has no additional taxation??
