@SawyerMerritt Is this related to why the Tesla 128 GB USB drive and the 1 TB SSD are not for sale anymore? Not simply out of stock, but both links are broken (404 errors) and search bar in the shop doesn’t even show a result.

@CliffordAsness While I don’t always agree with all of your posts (NOT talking about this one), I nevertheless admire your no-nonsense, aggressive communication style. Passive aggressive behavior gives much insight into underlying character.
I have a story to break.
Columbia is still practicing racially discriminatory admissions in defiance of the Supreme Court's ruling in SFFA v. Harvard.
Newly-leaked data shows they still prefer less-qualified Blacks and Hispanics over more-qualified Asians🧵
@TheSalonDon What does Sugared & Bronzed do w/r/t hiring practices? I’ve heard (limited to only 1 location though) that their employees are friendly and customer-service oriented. Not sure about their turnover or operating knowledge though.
Coinbase $COIN hired dirt cheap CSR agents in India, Pakistan, the Philippines or God knows where and they accepted bribes from a gang of cyber criminals who made off with tons of customer data including:
🚩 Names
🚩 Phone #'s
🚩 Gov ID images
🚩 Account balance and tx's
I've said it before and I'll say it again; Coinbase is not a serious company, and they're NOT serious about protecting their users.
Only the worst of corporate legal schmucks could spin this catastrophic failure as "protecting our customers and standing up to extortionists".
That horse already escaped the barn when you pay people peanuts and they take bribes to steal client PII.
What an absolute clown show.
Honk. Honk. 🤡
Sounds like @getbasiccapital is providing securitization (MBS, CLO, etc but for junk bond / $SPY investing) for the masses and will use complex financial engineering and “risk models” to “guarantee” lower risk with same or higher returns. How do you think this will go?
It’s been almost five years to the day since the idea first hit me.
I was working at Goldman Sachs, watching wealthy clients grow their fortunes. There was nothing magical about it — they just had the one thing that mattered most: capital to compound.
The older I get the more it becomes clear how much “good character” matters. You can go to war with a guy who’s honest, loyal, and doesn’t suffer from spiritual weakness even if you disagree on a lot.
A guy who runs at the first sight of trouble or will sell you out when it benefits him is a worthless ally even if you agree 100% on the mission.
Selecting on character first, rather than agreement is the only way to build anything durable.
Its very very Dangerous being a Whistleblower in Canada which is why I never expose Canadian Companies anymore.. Turns out you get Investigated and not the companies.. The OSC, @rcmpgrcpolice@OSFICanada@globeandmail@CBCNews@globalnews are all in the bag for dark interests
@Secretsrchr@OneManLBO If its 1st IRL mtg (other than cold email/call), I’d make mtg 90% personality/emotional connection & 10% deal. 99.9% chance that a plumber has 0 clue what this Excel means. Also, find out whats emotionally relevant to him. May or may not be $$ or anything this spreadsheet depicts
@tracewoodgrains@bryan_johnson Purely from understanding the legal process, how did the 1000 pages of arbitration documents including deposition transcripts (and I assume video?) become public (since arbitration is confidential)?
Bryant Riley thinks that splitting off a fraud into segments hides the skeletons in his closet.
It does not.
B Riley $RILY keeps rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, even as they take on more water deep in the hull.
I said it at the time, the decision to freeze and de-risk Canadians over the trucker protests was extremely internationally harmful to Canada, besides being illegal. We, as a country, used information obtained criminally, by a Canadian hacker living in Ontario, who hacked into an American financial services provider for the personal information of Canadians who sent money to the US website, and using that illegally obtained information, the govt went to banks and told them to use reverse AML law and de-risk mothers, students - anyone - from the banking system so that couldn't pay rent, buy groceries, take an Uber, pay for gas. Journalists in Ottawa then used the same illegally obtained list and hounded the same people for having donated, like it was a crime, when it wasn't. To this day, the person who actually committed the crime under the Criminal Code, the one who illegally hacked into a US financial services provider is still free, hacking away into other American banks, and selling personal information online. Very warped and not our best moment.
@AlderLaneEggs@jpmorgan@FBI@JohnnyIsakson De-platforming (including by financial institutions) for free speech & other lawful behavior should be illegal. Innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent. SAR’s can be exploited by any party in power and is thus not a political issue
