“Because He loved me my Savior died
On the cross was crucified.
No greater love by mortal man
Has ever been known;
O praise His sweet name He loves me so!
Now I am His, He is mine I know.
He suffered it all
Because He loved me!”
@GMathis89 The UMC owns 13 seminaries. I doubt they’ll all survive, but some have good Wesleyan studies departments and faculty. Most teach it with a Marxist lens.
@ShawnRyan762 My wife and I fostered in Tennessee. The system is so broken. Our child got through it and became independent and successful, so there is hope, but it wasn’t the biological mother’s desire for that to happen and much of the system tried to work against it happening.

@mindful1_be@ShaneRaynor Read “Salvation by Faith” ( a Wesley sermon) and you’ll see that getting them in the door is very important. This pushback to the notion of “getting saved” is not holy nor accurate in its presentation.
@ImJimR87 “How sweet on a clear sabbath morning, to list to the clear ringing bell;”. You know we lost something when we stopped ringing church bells. This was number 121 in the old Cokesbury hymnal. We used to have to know that on Sunday night singings, when they took requests.
@ShaneRaynor@MethodistView@EnoughLight I mean, it’s true. Lifeway used to have stores and suddenly Beth Moore (just aged myself) and Rick Warren were teaching my people and they didn’t know why we kept saying the creed.
@MaryBowdenMD@SpeakerJohnson@SaveLibertyUS Congress is too broken to do anything noble. The president is doing what many presidents before him have done. He’s defending freedom.
@MargoinWNC Yeah, the award winning actor George C Scott used to visit his uncle in Bluefield, VA and walk down to the corner lunch counter and people would leave him alone. Small towns can be good folks at times.
