@AlobatoRocha @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted I agree I even think it'd be a great way for students to organize their notes and past activities so they always have access and not have anything get lost. Having them organize it by unit or by chapter depending on what subject it is can really help you also when grading.
@wyorkcsub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted It's been very helpful as a way to also take snippets of certain questions from different sources and creating your own activity!
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A4: Google Sites has been huge, having access to your own website can benefit you as an educator. Simply having Google sites as a place to reach activities and notes would be great when you share that link with your class. @csubted#csubEDTE4200@JMaddern_CSUB
@LCarranzaCSUB@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted I feel like Google Drive doesn't get enough attention but once you share those drives with other students they have access to everything from notes to activities, so I think that is definitely a tool we all should know how to use.
@aj_CSUB@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Thats true! I believe giving students the free rein to decorate or phrase their answer in a way they want can also provide a positive environment with their participation.
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A3: Pear Deck is a student slide presentation where teachers can monitor and see student responses live and save the results. Doing this activity as a class can help students understand what is going on and provide a discussion like session. @csubted#csubEDTE4200@JMaddern_CSUB
@FNegrete_CSUB@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted@MicrosoftFlip Hey Francisco, I agree with what you're saying and I feel it is more comfortable to record yourself rather than being up front a live audience and giving that presentation or speech.
@lramirezchavez@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hey Lexie, I completely agree, it is also a great way to have students communicate through the home page of their classroom.
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A2: Zoom has blown-up over the last 2 years especially with the pandemic, so much so that online learning is now a viable option. Bringing everybody together regardless of how far they are can tie class together, better engagement. @csubted#csubedte4200@JMaddern_CSUB
@Mr_Ellis17 @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted hey Stephen I agree with your idea of having an infinite amount of patience. Many schools are now implementing prerequisite knowledge requirements and are sent to different links in YouTube where they can get the fundamental requirements needed before going into a new class.
@j_moreno63 @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Wassup Jorge, I agree with enjoying flip and how it makes students become comfortable with online tools and make it interesting by submitting assignments in forms other than writing.
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A1: My favorite tool that we have used this course is Google sites. I believe having this while you're teaching as a form of access for every student is great for when they need work or missed the day of notes. @CSUBTED@JMaddern_CSUB#csubedte4200
@julia_csub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hello Julia! Teaching 9th graders is a big hurdle, knowing you handled that I am sure you can handle any other high school grade.
