My sweet baby boy Fozzy Bear crossed the rainbow bridge much too young yesterday. The grief is more than I expected. He was such a wonderful little man and I can hardly think about him without the waterworks starting. His brother (literally) Boo Boo Bear misses him. His older brother Gizmo was already waiting in heaven for him.
Here’s a video of the boys a few month before Gizmo passed when Fozzy was only a few months old… Both of my boys are in heaven now…
These days I have a pittie mix and a rat terrier mix. They get about 3-4 miles with me every day. I live in Tuen and they are off leash and don’t go into the street and are friendly to people. And cats. Possums are a different story further eat ‘terror’. He’s killed 2-3 of them when I wasn’t looking. I still miss my German shepherd Max though. He’d be about 37 now. 😁
The stains on these benches are blood, and they have been there since June 1944.
The benches stand in the village church of Angoville-au-Plain, Normandy. On 6 June, two medics of the 2nd Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, Robert Wright and Kenneth Moore, turned the church into an aid station while the fighting swung back and forth outside. Over roughly three days they treated about 80 men, American and German, and a local child. When a German officer asked them to take his wounded as well, they agreed. Both were awarded the Silver Star.
The church is dedicated to Saints Cosmas and Damian, patron saints of physicians. Wright died in 2013 and is buried in its churchyard.
It’s more than silly when they deny the central principle of Christianity, the divinity of Christ. I’m about as far from being a Bible thumper as you can get, but even I understand you can’t say I deny the divinity of your god and at the same time claim you worship the same god. It just doesn’t work that way.
