Salesforce Ventures led Hugging Face’s Series D in 2023. Clem built an incredible company. Jensen is buying a real jewel. Congrats Jensen and Clem. Vive la France. ❤️🤗🇫🇷

[Rob Keith @RobwKeith]

Congratulations @ClementDelangue, @julien_c, @Thom_Wolf and the entire @huggingface team on a deeply deserved outcome 🤗

When @SalesforceVC partnered with them in their last round, the vision was clear: open source would be the foundation of AI, and Hugging Face would be its home. Today that vision is reality, with 18M+ builders and the world's most important AI infrastructure company behind it.

Humbled to have had a front row seat. Excited for what open models do from here 🚀🚀

[Jensen Huang @JensenHuang]

Exciting day for NVIDIA and @huggingface.

Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty. They allow every developer, startup, university, industry and country to build with, customize and benefit from AI.

Thank you @ClementDelangue for coming to me.

NVIDIA is going to be a great home for Hugging Face, its community and the future of open models. 🤗

@ClementDelangue Congratulations @ClementDelangue 🤗 Ten years of building in the open, with a generosity that changed how the entire field works. It has been a privilege to have a front-row seat. So well deserved 🚀

Super happy to share our intention to join forces with NVIDIA in a $12,930,300,000 acquisition 💛💚

10 years after starting Hugging Face, open-source AI is at an inflection point. Thanks to the community, we’ve shown that it can be a complement, and even an alternative, to closed-source APIs. But for it to happen at larger scale, it needs more compute, more support, more collaboration and more visibility. That’s why we went to talk to Jensen, who offered to do exactly that with us.

In addition to doubling down on NVIDIA’s massive contributions to open-source AI (I called them the “King of American open-source AI” earlier this year), they’ve committed to strongly supporting Hugging Face and our mission while keeping the platform open, independent and compute agnostic. The founders and the team are all staying to keep pushing this mission forward.

Together, we think we can make open source the default way to build AI, with the goal of empowering 100 million AI builders to own their intelligence rather than rent it.

Excited about the next 10 years! 🤗🤗🤗

Exciting news: Vanguard has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Salesforce Ventures portfolio company @altruist 🤝

We backed Altruist's Series F last year, and our conviction started with co-founder and CEO @jasonwenk. He's the kind of founder you meet once and know is different — a rare combination of 20+ years of domain expertise, genuine thought leadership in the RIA space, and a deep empathy and generosity towards the customers he serves.

Altruist also built something the market said was nearly impossible: a new custodian from scratch, breaking into an incumbent industry historically resistant to change. Then this February, its Hazel AI tax planning launch triggered a market shift in public wealth management stocks — a real signal of just how far ahead the platform had gotten.

Congratulations to Jason and the entire team Altruist. We're proud to have been part of your journey.

Announcing our investment in @linear 🎉

AI has turned individual developers into force multipliers, capable of shipping in hours what once took weeks. The teams and systems that turn this new abundance of code into real organizational throughput will define the next generation of product development.

We believe Linear is one of the companies best positioned to own that opportunity. Linear’s opinionated data model and its early, deep investment in agent-native workflows puts it in a strong position to be the system of record for the AI-built software era, first for engineering teams and increasingly for the broader organizations they sit within.

We’re proud to partner with @karrisaarinen, @jorilallo, @artman and the entire Linear team as they build the operating layer for how software gets made.

[Linear @linear]

Today we're announcing our second employee tender offer.

We passed $100m ARR earlier this year and now have more than 40,000 paying customers.

The tender lets our teammates participate in that success at a $2.5B valuation:

[Vipul Ved Prakash @vipulved]

We @togethercompute believe intelligence should be abundant, not expensive.

Today we announced our Series C funding of $800m @ $8.3B valuation, to continue to build the world's most efficient platform for generative AI.

Thanks @nikogallogly for telling our story in @nytimes!

[Jack Zhang @awxjack]

We’ve raised $320M at an $11B valuation, led by Addition.

AI is changing how companies are built. Teams are smaller, global from day one, and using agents more. We’ve spent 10 years building the financial rails for that world.

We’re now building the intelligent layer on top.

[LiveKit @livekit]

We shipped LiveKit Turn Detector v1.

Instead of reading transcripts, it listens to speech directly, combining semantic and acoustic cues into one end-of-turn prediction.

The result: high accuracy, low latency—the best model we tested across 14 languages.

Available on LiveKit Cloud.

For the past several months, @Airwallex has been the subject of false allegations originating with a board member of a direct competitor that include wild conspiracy theories about me. Today I am responding directly with facts and an independent security assessment that speaks for itself.

I also want to use this moment to introduce Airwallex properly. We are a decade into building financial infrastructure that gives American businesses the ability to compete and win globally. That work continues.

I was born in China. I arrived in Melbourne at fifteen with little English and no safety net. Australia gave me the education, the opportunity, and the freedom to build something. The United States represents that same promise, perhaps more powerfully than anywhere else on earth. We plan to keep building here.

Super excited to announce that @arcee_ai is the first major American AI lab to replace AWS S3 with Hugging Face for ALL their models and datasets, public AND private 🔥🔥🔥

Multi-million $ partnership to support American open-source AI, let’s go!

Token costs are why there will be no saas apocalypse / good dev tools are cached intelligence for agents!

The popular theory goes: agents can write code, so they'll just rebuild every tool from scratch and hit raw APIs. no more dev tools, no more CLIs, no more software layers. just agents and endpoints!

We just tested this and the data says the opposite. We benchmarked Claude Code and Codex on real Hugging Face Hub tasks (~1,000 graded runs), with two setups: the agent-optimized hf CLI vs the agent hand-rolling curl or SDK calls from scratch.

Hand-rolling burns up to 6x more tokens on multi-step tasks and fails more often (84% vs 94% task success).

And that's just dropping one abstraction layer. It would obviously be orders of magnitude more tokens and a dramatically higher failure rate if the agent tried to bypass HF altogether and rebuild model hosting, versioning, and distribution from scratch. Every time an agent re-derives a workflow from raw API calls, you pay for that reasoning in tokens. every single run. a good CLI compresses that entire chain into a few high-level commands the agent can't get wrong.
In a world where everyone is complaining tokens are too expensive, abstraction is leverage: thousands of hours of design decisions your agent doesn't have to re-reason about at inference time.

Good tools are cached intelligence for agents!

So no, agents won't rebuild everything from scratch. they'll gravitate to the most token-efficient tools, because that's what their owners pay for. The software that survives won't just be accessible to agents, it will be accurate and cheap for them to drive.

We're seeing it happen with HF, which is becoming the platform for agents to use AI: ~49M requests in just two months, and growing fast!

Salesforce Ventures is proud to invest in @resolveai 🚀

Monitoring tools tell you something is broken. They can't tell you why — and they can't fix it.

Resolve AI can. 60% reduction in MTTR, 70% faster alert triage, 10-minute diagnoses on issues that take hours.

The next era of enterprise AI is about how software is run.
