Well @SciSpaceGuy, while technically my statement from 2020 is still true, it looks like it was wildly optimistic in its intent. I'd say less than 50/50 a full orbit happens this year.
During today's #Starship flight there was white large object in the distance that seemed to be trailing /falling back from Starship for several minutes at around T+7 min. Anyone know what it could have been? Didn't look like debris. wasn't Super Heavy, as SH was busy landing.
@wingod@__I_Am_An_Egg Just a guess - ITAR/EAR don't have "expiration" dates. So some lawyer some place decided that no matter how old the document, if the technology is "export controlled" the document needs to be controlled. Another example of the many problems with our export controls.
@wingod There was an additional factor. SpaceX had the benefit of an investor who was willing to accept great initial losses and a decade before significant returns.
@planet4589 Basic rule useful for people to remember - if it comes in from outside the sphere of influence it will be going fast enough to leave the sphere of influence unless 1) it crashes 2) it burns its own engines.
@wingod And I would have absolutely no problem limiting stock buy backs (in general) by law. They have become a convenient way for companies to avoid taxes and artificially inflate share price.
Well @BankofAmerica you have just ruined my Thanksgiving break. You discontinued OFX/QFX downloads without any notice, effectively rendering my financial software useless. I'm back to the 1990s. Tip: I refuse to get into the @Quicken monopolistic subscription treadmill.
@wingod Not once did he mention illegal aliens voting - because Democrats know that it is illegal for aliens to vote AND the number who attempt to do so is miniscule. He is concerned about citizens intimidate who choose not to vote.
X’s News seems to have gotten ahead of itself. We are currently at T-10 but it says the flight was successful. @grok you may want to look into this. #Starship
@elonmusk Honest question. Does @grok sensor responses in Hong Kong to meet CCP requirements? Can it provide Hong Kong users with details about Tiananmen Square?
@wingod I've said it before... This is what happens when the quarterly report takes precedence over everything else. When the system emphasizes quarterly increases in revenues and profits, it is easy to lose sight of long term trends.
