I have so many ideas:
- replacing Luna in a personal home assistant that classifies incoming emails, calendar events, etc to decide if we need to ingest it and/or if the incoming context is consistent with what’s already been ingested
- classifying when code needs/would benefit from a particular kind of refactor
- a cheap AI player in a game I’m writing for my kids. Simpler than the doom demo I’ve seen
- deciding what game engine from a library of game engines to use in my “vibe up a game” game I’ve written for my kids
- selecting sound effects to add to an audiobook generator for my kids
@simpsoka Can you please add “goal limit management UX”. I hit token and time limits on my goals but my intent with goals is for them not to stop til the work is done, so I want to set “no limits” as a global config
Codex + iPhone has dramatically improved my ability to tinker as a father of young kids. 10 mins between chores and I can jailbreak a treadmill, make an entertaining voice bot out of my Reachy mini for my kids and build custom mobile apps for my wife.
@simpsoka If I dictate a voice message and hit send but switch to another thread before it completes submitting I lose the message. Super frustrating n
Added a voice-based tour in my 🥉 code review voice agent from the Sydney @OpenAIDevs hackathon, upgraded to gpt-realtime-2.
It knows how it works. I gave it an outline of what to demo and how, the rest is unscripted. Gracefully handles detours, follow ups. Voice is the future!
It really depends upon the situation, but html can be so verbose. I suspect we might see more markdown with html (and other) embeds where we need the richness.
Potentially we could go as far as email multipart mimetypes
“One more prompt tweak and the migration is basically automated” is the new “this refactor is almost done.”
Technically true for a surprisingly long time 😬
@AgnesCallard Ooh you’ll be visiting the Nicholas Building I expect :) Check out the National Gallery Victoria, one of my favorite things to do. Oh and brunch on DeGraves St! If you like jazz the Paris Cat is the place to go
This is spot on. EP&D when building on each other, bringing their modes of thinking, expertise, insights and hunches together to explore a problem space: that’s when you can solve some hard problems efficiently.
@shreyas Happily.
Great dev work requires a mind meld. There’s so much nuance in it that we tend to follow the instinct that we can get all of that nuance out of one mind and into requirements. This instinct is wrong. It has never worked and will never work because it’s impossible.
