Excited to share our recent publication on identifying & targeting ferrous iron addiction in KRAS-driven cancers using the TRX-based prodrug strategy.

Thrilled to share that the Zaro Lab's first ever preprint is now LIVE on @ChemRxiv 🧪 We developed a new, highly-selective (like, *really* selective) covalent inhibitor of BTK through the simple elaboration of fumarate ester-based warheads (1/n): https://t.co/HZyQICJ8qk
A new radiotracer that detects iron in cancer cells has proven effective, opening the door for the advancement of iron-targeted therapies for cancer patients, according to research published in @JournalofNucMed. https://t.co/u26ySTlkjV

As repurposing drugs for #COVID19 has drawn much attention, a new study shows that drugs w/ antiviral effect through phospholipidosis are unlikely to be effective in vivo. Screening out such drugs may allow a focus on drugs with better clinical potential. https://t.co/4b4lh8xroD
To photo-affinity, and enzyme/AA-reactive ABPs, you can add ABPs activated by intracellular labile iron. Congrats to Ying-Chu, Juan and collaborators @aPOPEtosis and @SJD956! #ferroptosis@J_A_C_S

We are deeply sorry for the opinions expressed in the recent piece published in our journal.
We recognize the responsibility we have to our community and are conducting an internal investigation into this incident.

I am very disturbed and disappointed by Prof. Hudlickly's comments in this article in @angew_chem where he makes the case that “diversity of the workforce” has a ”negative impact” on the field of organic synthesis (see the ridiculous figure!) https://t.co/409o4tW5e6
Figure 1 says that "diversity in the workforce" is having a negative impact on the field of Organic Synthesis. Additionally complains that grad students are no longer willing to "submit to their mentors." I can't believe @angew_chem published this.

The findings of a Nature paper suggest that there may be potential for developing treatments for #COVID19 by repurposing drugs that are already approved or under investigation for other conditions. https://t.co/TqILFgyLuN
If you speak a language other than English and want to help me translate this, there's a form here https://t.co/lNDzRy9RbH thank you thank you thank you
Sneaking antibiotics into bacteria with siderophore-iron(III) conjugates is a cool trick. In our latest paper in @ACS_Infectious we instead uncage antibiotics via reaction with free iron(II) at infection sites https://t.co/FvkwlmWa7A @EricSkaar@RyanKMuir@erin_r_green
