@collinrichter6 I feel that yes it is invasive, but at the same it is extremely convenient and I don’t see advertisers changing their methods anytime soon so I think it’s worth the benefit. #uwj201#dis313
@PatchinHunter I think a lot of people make quick decisions based of emotion and what they enjoy to see. Therefore, the peripheral method is more effective #uwj201#dis313
@dirkse_13 Although this is not breaking any rules as long as they said "off the record" too late, I feel that journalists should respect a sources desire to not want information they say to be reported. #UWJ201#DIS313
@clairehenneman yes because as you form a stronger and stronger opinion on a topic you will form a higher belief perseverance meaning you will not accept opposing view points #UWJ201#DIS313
@ErinSul05568661 I agree. When we feel that we are in the minority on an issue we don’t want to talk because everyone disagrees with us. #uwj201#dis313
@MvBastelaer I think this is due to the fact that the way people get their news is changing. Many people use social media and the internet now. #UWJ201
@Cecilia17336733 Just the fact the people are more likely to participate in politics when they feel that their side is "losing" will boost social and political engagement. People will want to participate in order to get their own opinions across. #UWJ201#DIS313
@MiaGree73272545 I think that the third person effect could potentially have a negative impact in the sense that we are unaware that we too may be being affected by the media. We may feel we are safe from this bias when in reality we are not. #UWJ201#DIS313
@ben_stolar People are unaware of the effects that these shows have on them. They are drawn in due to the story lines and action. If more people were aware of the effects that TV has on their thoughts, I wonder if it would change their opinions on the shows they love. #uwj201#DIS313
@hmkarnopp I believe social media definitely does have the power to control the agenda. This is an example of "Agenda-Uptake" where the people, through social media, make the media aware of what issues they are paying attention too. The media often covers these issues more. #UWJ201#DIS313
@LenaYu49073940@MollySegUWJ201 I feel this is especially true in college. Our media use can allow us to stay in the bubble of high school and prevent us from new experiences. Its interesting how something so useful can be so limiting at the same time. #UWJ201
@MollySegUWJ201 I have noticed this to be true at all moments throughout the day. Even when people are studying in the library they constantly check their phones and switch tabs. The devices we use to do our school work are also providing us with many distractions at the same time. #UWJ201
