‘27 RHP Hoss Harper @GraniteHillsBB
FB: 88-90 T91
SL: 77-79
CH: 77
Harper was very good through 5.1 IP allowing just 3H with a BB and 5K. Left game w/2 on then reliever allowed a 3R HR.
Loose, whippy arm on a 6’3” 190lb. frame. Mixes slots. SL flashes upside.

‘26 OF Isaac Fierro of Helix HS
Fierro contributed to the hitting barrage from Helix bats with 2 singles, and a 2 RBI performance at the plate capping off a 2-for-3 day. Shows ability to go with the pitch and work his way oppo or pull-side.
The USA Prep ⚾️ Leaderboard is growing by the day. We're now over 15,000 players (my goal is 25K by this summer). Here are the top ranked pitchers among this group, minimum 20 IP.

Derek Jeter shares a masterclass on preparation and mindset.
"My biggest thing in life that makes me most uncomfortable is being unprepared. And that's in anything."
"You hear athletes talk about the game speeds up or slows down. Well, it slows down when you're prepared. Speeds up when you're unprepared."
That's the difference.
Preparation helps you feel ready for what can and will arise.
"Every time you're in a situation, I've already gone through it in my head."
"If you have the same approach to a spring training game as you do a World Series game nothing changes."
The moment doesn't get bigger - you stay the same.
That's the secret. The greats embrace the boredom of consistency.
They aren't clutch because they rise to the occasion. They're clutch because they've already been there a thousand times in their mind.

What would be his biggest tip to young athletes trying to get to the next level?
“A lot of people work hard…
it’s the people that work hard & are able to stack nutrition & sleep & those things on top of it.”

16 year old Haruki Komodo is arguably the top overall youth prospect in Japan. 6’4-200lb two-way player throwing 94 mph with big power potential at the plate.
Marques Johnson
The Giants have an affinity for supination-heavy arms, and Johnson is the prototype. He doesn’t get enough credit for 2025 performance (33% K, 13% BB, 3.14 xFIP between A+ and AA), and the raw stuff instills even more confidence.
Johnson mixes three heavy, horizontally-moving offerings: a 94 mph cutter, a lift-y sweeper, and a hard, depthier slurve on the same plane. The sweeper and slurve — identical except that the slurve drops 10 inches more — create a pretty unhittable tunnel. It was only 3.2 innings, but just look at the sheer dominance this spring.
He’ll need to prove he can consistently be in-zone, but with that level of stuff, Johnson just needs to be over the plate. I’d like to see more sinkers implemented, a nice armside counter to such a gloveside-heavy arsenal.
