The work anxiety and sadness is real today. Why does teaching feel like this? It’s so hard to return after a break. I feel worried about the relentless pressure of the next 6 weeks and all that I will have to deal with. Having a break also ramps up my imposter syndrome. Help!

@WhistleblowingT My understanding is that it is reasonable and expected to ask for medium term planning but not weekly plans as they are just for teachers. We upload our MTP to the shared system and SLT use it for monitoring purposes

Can anyone share what their teaching timetable looks like for SLT particularly DHT/AHT? How important do people think it is that DHT/AHT still have some teaching responsibilities?

@mrsjmasters I love this but what happens if someone gets onto the fact that you are trying to hand them the weapon and then will be alert to it so you will never be able to kill them

Feeling so bad about myself today. Newly appointed AHT and am struggling with my work identity, not in class enough to feel like I’m making a difference, too new to the role to feel effective as AHT. Any advice?

Thanks for your replies, always good to know how other schools manage it. I am on a diff site to HT/DHT so lots of operational stuff falls to me. I was constantly getting pulled out of class so felt to reduce teaching time was best option
