🚨 Protect State Land & Chinar Trees | Save Public Road 🚨
This video highlights the alleged dumping of scrap on a public road and State land with Chinar trees. According to the available revenue records, this land belongs to the Government. Despite this, some individuals are claiming it as their own and attempting to encroach upon it.
I am also placing on record the order dated 18.02.2015 passed by the Joint Financial Commissioner, J&K, which states:
“Therefore, the revision petition is accepted and the impugned order dated 09.07.2003 passed on Mutation No. 2121 is set aside. The entry in the name of the present petitioners, except for 08 Kanals of Shamshan Bhoomi, is kept intact. The interim order, if any, stands vacated.
I respectfully request the Jammu & Kashmir Administration, the Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, and the Revenue Department to verify the revenue records and the above order, remove the dumped scrap, protect the State land and Chinar trees, prevent any illegal encroachment, and, if any offences are disclosed after verification, register an FIR and take strict legal action in accordance with law.
Please protect our public road, Government land, and Kashmir’s priceless Chinar trees for future generations.

This public washroom at New, Abbi Now pora New New Kohan Khan Road, Srinagar is now lying neglected and almost a dead public asset.
There is a huge influx of tourists in the area, yet this facility remains unused due to poor maintenance. It should be cleaned immediately, restored, and made fully functional for the benefit of both tourists and local residents.
Although the facility was constructed by LCMA, I respectfully request the SMC Commissioner @FazLulhaseeb Sir to kindly intervene and coordinate with the concerned authorities. Since both SMC and LCMA function under the UEED, this public utility should ideally be taken over and maintained by SMC for regular operation and upkeep. Proper management can also help generate revenue while ensuring cleanliness and better public services.
Kindly take urgent action in the public interest.

Subject: Urgent Complaint: Neglected Waste Management at Baghwan pora Noor bagh Srinagar
Dear Sir
I am writing to bring urgent attention to the state of waste management in the Baghwan pora Noor bagh near ismi Azam high school area. The attached images (with GPS coordinates) show large amounts of garbage piled near the chinar trees and along the roadside. Previously, dustbins were provided, but after assurances of home collection, neither dustbins nor regular service is in place.
This is not just an eyesore; it poses serious health risks. Just 5 meters ahead, there is a school, and this negligence could affect the health of children and residents. While I understand some littering comes from the public, the absence of a proper system is making the problem worse.
I urge you to either reinstate dustbins or ensure the promised home collection. Additionally, I request immediate clearance of the garbage near the chinar trees and roadside. Please act swiftly to protect our environment and public health.

The encroachment of roads at Hari Singh High Street and Maharaja Bazaar continues unabated despite the verbal directions of Honourable Lieutenant Governor to the administration as well as police.@OfficeOfLGJandK
Despite repeated request to the administration and law enforcement agencies, the issue of road encroachments at Hari Singh High Street and Maharaja Bazaar continues to persist unabated.
Although enforcement actions are occasionally carried out by the concerned authorities, the relief is only temporary. Illegal hawkers return within a short span of time, nullifying previous efforts and allowing the situation to revert to its congested and disorderly state.
This ongoing encroachment has led to severe disruption of public movement. Shoppers and commuters are compelled to navigate through heavily congested and unsafe conditions, resulting in daily inconvenience, delays.
It is of grave concern that Maharaja Bazaar Road serves as the sole access route to the only maternity hospital in the Kashmir Valley. Any obstruction on this vital road poses a direct threat to emergency medical access and, consequently, to human lives.
In view of the above, we humbly request your kind intervention and earnestly urge you to issue strict and binding directions to the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, and the Senior Superintendent of Police, Srinagar, to implement a coordinated, firm, and lasting solution. This should include continuous monitoring and enforcement to ensure that once cleared, these public roads remain permanently free from illegal occupation.
The Market Committee of Maharaja Bazaar and Hari Singh High Street sincerely hopes that this pressing issue will receive your immediate attention and decisive action.

“Dear J&K Administration and Forest Department,
It has come to our attention that while the Forest Department’s rest houses are readily available for online booking in Jammu, the listings for these specific forest huts in Gulmarg are missing. This is causing significant inconvenience as we urgently need to make a booking for tomorrow.
We strongly urge that the Forest Department’s huts in Gulmarg be made available for online booking immediately. If online booking is not possible, we demand clear instructions on how to proceed with offline reservations.
We look forward to a prompt and effective resolution.
