@CanadaFP Official guidelines for IRCC and CBSA to distinguish mandatory military conscription from voluntary IRGC membership.
#ConscriptsAreNotMembers
Children should never have to carry the weight of decisions their parents had no choice in making. Their childhood should be filled with love, security, and hope, not fear and uncertainty about tomorrow.

@AliEhsassi Happy thanksgiving @AliEhsassi thank you for your support of innocent former conscripts. Please keep advocating and push for bill c-350 presented by @GarnettGenuis. The solution is available. Please keep your promise. @LenaMetlegeDiab
@SameerZuberi Please remember Iranian forced IRGC conscripts and their families. PFLs have plunged parents and children into severe psychological distress and uncertainty. Canada needs clear public guidelines distinguishing forced conscript from voluntary membersb,
Children should never bear the consequences of circumstances their parents could not control. Every child deserves safety, stability, and a future filled with hope.
#ConscriptsAreNotMembers
Imagine being forced to serve in an organization you never supported, only to be judged years later as if you had willingly joined it.
This is the reality many Iranian conscripts face.
Compulsory service does not equal ideological loyalty.
#ConscriptsAreNotMembers #ForcedServiceIsNotMembership #HumanRights
For Canadian-born children, Canada is home. Their childhood should be about learning, growing, and dreaming—not fear of family separation.
#ConscriptsAreNotMembers
First they were forced into compulsory service by a brutal regime, and now they get punished in Canada for it. Blaming people twice for a system they couldn't escape makes zero sense.
#JusticeForIranianConscripts#ConscriptsAreNotMembers
Most Iranian conscripts spend two years sweeping floors or guarding doors. They aren't decision makers, just kids doing forced chores so they can start a normal life. Treating them like regime insiders makes zero sense.

Dear Minister Anand, your post rightly highlights the importance of protecting national security, confronting the Iranian regime’s hostile activities, and holding those responsible for threatening Canadians accountable.
But an equally important question remains: Are we directing our resources at the right targets?
Why are former conscripts, many of whom fled the very regime Canada is standing against, facing consequences for compulsory conscription? In contrast, Iranian regime operatives continue to threaten and intimidate dissidents on Canadian soil.
Many of these former conscripts and their families have actively opposed the regime from Canada. Some face threats from the very people Canada seeks to hold accountable. Yet these families now fear being sent to the country they fled.
We must pursue genuine threats, protect Canadians from foreign interference, and ensure that innocent families are not treated as perpetrators simply because they were forced to complete conscription many years ago.
Minister, if our goal is to protect Canadians from the Iranian regime, shouldn't we be protecting the people who fled it and are now helping expose its threats?

🍁 Happy Thanksgiving, @TerryDuguid
This weekend, Canadians give thanks for family, safety and freedom.
But many Iranian-Canadian families are living with fear and uncertainty because of compulsory conscription their loved ones never chose. Former conscripts are facing refusals, prolonged proceedings and possible separation from their families.
Some fled the very regime they were forced to serve under. Treating compulsory conscription as equivalent to voluntary IRGC involvement does not make Canada safer.
This Thanksgiving, please help give these families something to be thankful for: clear, transparent guidelines for IRCC and CBSA that distinguish compulsory conscription from IRGC membership or support, and ensure fair, individualized assessments.
Target genuine threats. Protect innocent families.

Behind every immigration case is a human story. A family, a home, and children whose futures depend on decisions made today. Compassion and fairness matter.

@AliEhsassi Happy Thanksgiving @AliEhsassi
Clear guidelines are urgently needed to distinguish mandatory conscripts from actual IRGC members. Innocent people and their families should not suffer for something they never chose.
