Here we found that loss of EIF4G2 increased stem-like markers and aggressiveness of human endometrial cancer cells.
We also showed the low EIF4G2 and its targets were associated with poor prognosis in Grade 2 endometrial cancer and might serve as novel prognostic markers.
Really excited to share the preprint of my major PhD project at the Kimchi lab!
Loss of EIF4G2 Mediates Aggressiveness in Distinct Human Endometrial Cancer Subpopulations with Poorer Survival Outcome in Patients https://t.co/VwrSqcSloB
Happy to share my first PhD pre-print from Prof. Adi Kimchi lab talking about
Loss-of-function cancer-associated mutations in the EIF4G2 non-canonical translation initiation factor https://t.co/WoHcEQFNVk
@johnprensner Thank you so much!
We are also working on how EIF4G2 levels impact patient outcomes using a large cohort. This should be uploaded as a pre-print soon :)
What a phenomenal conference this has been so far- very happy to have presented my poster on selective translation of cohorts of mRNAs by DAP5 shape the fate of cancer stem cells in endometrial tumors.

Ron, congrats to you, Avital, Noa and the rest of the team! ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ Enjoy and celebrate this new path you opened into #Proteasome regulation at the #Golgi as part of the cellular #proteostasis network. ๐พ
