Volunteers from @safecast and @SaveDnipro are installing sensors for real-time radiation monitoring of #Ukraine nuclear plants. https://t.co/LoMf24VcOv
We are proud to partner with @greenpeace_de and @GreenpeaceCEE to improve the radiation sensors network in Ukraine and have all the data available 24/7 for free on our system @SaveEcoBot. More data means more transparency of the radiation situation in Ukraine.
One of many dire consequences of the Russian war in Ukraine is an increasing risk of #nucleardisaster, due to the fact that Ukraine's energy sector is being systematically targeted. We need #EUsanctions on @RosatomGlobal NOW!
Greenpeace and @SaveDnipro installed radiation sensors
A vital part of our daily work on radiation monitoring is fieldwork. And more important is fieldwork in the Chornobyl exclusion zone—the report about the latest trip there by our member @pavlentij 👇
Three weeks ago, with @AzbyB, we got into the Chornobyl exclusion zone. The most desirable location for everyone engaged in radiation monitoring or radiation in general. It was an incredible trip to one of the world’s most famous and dangerous locations.
Take measures, @iaeaorg:
1. Exclude Russia from the Board.
2. Suspend the rights of Russia as a member.
3. Remove Russia from performing duties in the executive body.
4. Update your Statute.
5. Refuse any financial contributions from Russia.

Together with @ecodiya we prepared an appeal to the 67th @iaeaorg General Conference participants, which is now in Vienna. We address you in connection with Russia’s threats to nuclear safety with the demand for urgent measures to regulate nuclear safety worldwide.
Other NGOs @ClimateUA, @ecoclub_rivne, joined the open statement by ICO “Environment-People-Law”.
Please support the Ukrainian non-profit environmental sector. Sign the open statement mentions above in the thread 🇺🇦
Today russian terrorists blew up the #Kakhovka HPP. It is a large-scale disaster, the ecological, social, and economic consequences of which will be global and long-lasting. We will collected statements and conclusions from our Ukrainian colleagues:
NGO “National Interest Advocacy Network “ANTS”
@ANTS_NGO published the article “The russians Blew Up the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant: Huge Losses, Crippled Lives, and Damage to the Environment” https://t.co/YATgeoJhS0
Just had a meeting with @jennesdemol1, Ambassador from @NLinUkraine. Spoke about environment in Ukraine during the full scale war, about radiation, about corruption, about renovation and reconstruction of Ukraine and other ecological issues. So much work to do …
Resolution: open environmental data does not contradict the wartime requirements and is critical, in particular, for restoring liberated territories and maintaining a safe life in the larger territory of Ukraine. Public access to all open environmental data must be saved. 3/3
Today our head @IrynaChernysh1 spoke at the hearing in the Committee on Digital Transformation @komitet_digital of the @verkhovna_rada about the development of the #OpenData in Ukraine. Her subject was “Access and the special status of open environmental data in Ukraine”. 1/3
The three main theses of speech:
1. Current state of access to open environmental data and environmental information.
2. The environmental data have a special level of public access.
3. The current state of legislation regarding restrictions on access to environmental data. 2/3
One of our primary missions is to provide information about the radiation situation in Ukraine to people all around the world through our system @SaveEcoBot.
You can find below a video with a brief explanation of how and why we are doing it and what our further plans are.
This week in Estoril, Portugal, a large conference about radiation protection is happening – European Radiation Protection Week 2022. My video presentation “The importance of open data on background radiation in wartime in Ukraine” can be found here https://t.co/9QkHXvYoPt
We demanded to limit russia's participation in the @iaeaorg, because the country has repeatedly violated the fundamental principles of the organization.
🇷🇺 is a nuclear terrorist. Who will it threaten after 🇺🇦? Austria? Estonia? Greece? Belgium? Who will be next?
We demand @iaeaorg exclude russia from the Board of Governors. We demand 🇷🇺 be left out of all the nuclear-related business before they kill half of the world.
