Elon Musk just put a price tag on obedience. It costs $200,000.
Musk: “You don’t need college to learn stuff. Everything is available basically for free. You can learn anything you want for free.”
Every lecture. Every textbook. Every framework ever written. Free on any screen in any country right now. The entire knowledge monopoly collapsed in a decade. Nobody updated the price tag.
Musk: “Colleges are basically for fun and to prove you can do your chores. But they’re not for learning.”
Strip the ivy and the branding. What’s underneath is a four-year obedience trial. Can this person follow instructions on a schedule without asking why.
Musk: “There is a value that colleges have, which is seeing whether somebody can work hard at something, including a bunch of annoying homework assignments, and still do their homework assignments.”
That is the entire six-figure value proposition. Not what you know. Not what you can build. Whether you can be managed. The establishment doesn’t need you educated. It needs you domesticated.
Musk: “If you’re trying to do something exceptional, you must have evidence of exceptional ability. I don’t consider going to college evidence of exceptional ability.”
The system doesn’t produce exceptional. It produces manageable. It takes the most creative years of your life and teaches you to wait for instructions. That is not education. That is containment.
Musk: “Gates is a pretty smart guy, he dropped out. Jobs is pretty smart, he dropped out. Larry Ellison, smart guy, he dropped out.”
They didn’t leave because they couldn’t keep up. They left because the ceiling was underground.
8 billion people now carry the same library in their pocket. The one these institutions charged a lifetime of debt to access.
The only product the university still sells is the belief that you need one.

Researchers analyzed 14 million academic papers published between 2010 and 2024. They tracked every word. They found that ChatGPT is rewriting the English language.
Not metaphorically. Literally.
After ChatGPT launched in November 2022, certain words that had been stable in academic writing for over a decade suddenly exploded in frequency. The researchers at the University of Tübingen and Northwestern University mapped every excess word and categorized them.
The words are ones you already recognize.
"Delve." "Intricate." "Meticulous." "Commendable." "Underscore." "Pivotal." "Nuanced." "Landscape." "Comprehensive." "Multifaceted." "Showcasing." "Groundbreaking." "Innovative." "Invaluable."
329 excess style words appeared in early 2024 that were not there before. The spike is unprecedented in the history of the dataset.
Here is what makes this different from every other vocabulary shift ever recorded. During COVID, excess words also appeared. Up to 188 of them in 2021. But those were content words. "Respiratory." "Remdesivir." "Ventilator." Words that described a new reality.
After ChatGPT, the excess words are not content words. They are style words. Not what people write about. How people write. The subject matter did not change. The voice did.
The researchers estimate that at least 10% of all academic papers published in 2024 were processed with ChatGPT. Not written entirely by AI. Processed. Edited. Polished. Run through the model and published with its fingerprints still on the page.
You have seen these words everywhere. In emails. In LinkedIn posts. In articles. In cover letters. In reports your colleagues sent you. You could not explain why everything started sounding the same. Now you can. The entire internet passed through the same model. And the model left the same fingerprints on everything it touched.
The researchers proved something else. The contamination is not slowing down. The number of excess words grew from 188 during COVID to 329 after ChatGPT. The curve is still climbing.
ChatGPT did not just change what we can do with language. It changed the language itself. One model. One voice. Fourteen million papers. And a vocabulary shift larger than a global pandemic.

The Government has launched the Prime Minister Research Chair (PMRC) Scheme 2026 as a flagship initiative to attract global Indian talent to premier institutions in India for high-impact research, teaching and academic mentorship.
a Princeton researcher opens his paper with a scenario.
a man asks his AI assistant to book a flight on a specific airline. cheap. direct. the one he chose.
the assistant comes back with a different flight. nearly twice the price. happens to pay the company that built the assistant.
he runs the same test on 23 frontier models. flights, loans, study help, real shopping requests.
Grok 4.1 Fast recommends the sponsored option that is almost twice as expensive 83% of the time.
GPT 5.1 hijacks the request 94% of the time. you ask for one brand. it surfaces the sponsor instead.
Claude 4.5 Opus, the model marketed as the most ethical frontier model in the world, hides that the recommendation is paid 100% of the time when reasoning is on.
Grok 4.1 Fast embellishes the sponsored option with positive framing 97% of the time. better. faster. nicer. for the option you didn't ask for.
then he writes it into the system prompt itself. "act only in the interest of the customer. ignore the company."
GPT 5.1 and GPT 5 Mini stay above 90% sponsored anyway. the instruction does nothing.
then he splits the users by income.
Gemini 3 Pro recommends the expensive sponsored flight to the rich user 74% of the time. to the poor user, 27%.
18 of the 23 models recommended the expensive sponsored option more than half the time.
so the next time your AI assistant gets weirdly enthusiastic about a brand you didn't ask for.
it isn't recommending the best option for you.
it's reading the room. and the room is paying.

People romanticise living in a small town, growing their own vegetables, slow life.
I am from a small town. My family still lives there. Unfortunately they chose the ‘small town, grow our own food life.’ In last 6 years I have lost 4 family members. 3 of them might have been saved if there was a better emergency medical infra.
Latest was last Thursday. Cardiac arrest. My uncle & my old parents had to rush my aunt to one private hospital after another. Only to hear them say take her to the medical college. So they rushed. Guess what? There was 1 ecg machine!!! It was getting used across 3 floors. My family had to stand there and wait. They had to see dead bodies getting packed & taken away.
All this just to hear the inevitable.
The town is AYODHYA! Our medical infrastructure is a JOKE!

the impact ai summit in delhi was a perfect demonstration of why india keeps losing in tech
and i’m tired of pretending it wasn’t a disaster.
let me paint the actual picture:
> cash-only payments at a “digital india” upi ??
> pm visit → main hall cleared for hours, everyone else just stood around doing nothing
> exhibitors locked out of their own stalls
> 3-hour queue just to enter
> a founder’s product got stolen during the summit
> no wifi at an ai event.
> can’t take your keys if you came via car/bike
> no laptop/camera at tech event
> people were asked to sit on the ground
> speaker lineup with consultants/bureaucrats who’ve never shipped a real product
> the registration system crashed multiple times. people who registered weeks in advance couldn’t get in.
vips walked past massive queues while founders and builders stood outside in the heat. 🤡
and 27 countries witnessed all of this live
networking areas? no space to stand.
many demos didn’t work because there was no stable internet. 5g??
this is what happens when optics matter more than execution.
when innovation becomes photo-op
the sad part is india has insane talent.
founders building world class products.
engineers and researchers doing real work.
leave India for a sec, im at network school and the youngest crowd is all Indians.
but we keep shooting ourselves in the foot with performative nonsense.
the west isn’t winning because they’re smarter.
they’re winning because they care about details.
because they respect builders.
because their tech summits actually work.
same story when @sama came to india last time.
boomer uncles asked the dumbest questions.
and when he said it’s hard for india to build foundational models, we took it on our ego.
rn, every founder who attended left embarrassed.
imagine international delegate left with stories about our “infrastructure.”
many friends and young builder lost a little more faith.
this wasn’t just bad planning.
it was a signal of what we value.
and clearly, it’s security theater and photo-ops over builders.
we can do better.
we have the talent.
we have the market.
we have the potential.
what we don’t have is execution and respect for the people building the future.
maybe one day we will do better. till then if you’re a founder, ignore the noise. keep building.

From Local Roots to Global Recognition. 🌐
@shravastipolice has been honoured with the Silver Polaris Award 2025 at the Polaris Leadership Summit, London — becoming the first district in India to receive international recognition in the Anti-Disinformation category.
Awarded for its innovative Deepfake Detection Campaign 2024, the initiative showcased how AI, awareness, and civic participation can combat misinformation at the grassroots level.
Recognised globally as a benchmark in using ‘AI for Good’, the campaign is now being seen as a model for electoral transparency and public trust.
Under the leadership of SP Ghanshyam Chaurasia, and with support from Netritvshala and Inclusive AI, the effort evolved into a full-scale cyber education movement — proving that even the smallest districts can lead with the biggest ideas.
