While we wonder how Captive Elephants are still a thing, Mysore, Kerela and TN are preparing for a extravagant festival run where these animals are subjected to cannon firing drills everyday to get them 'acclimatised'!
Does the torture ever end for them?

๐๐ 53 ANIMAL WELFARE ORGANISATIONS. ONE QUESTION: WHY ARE FIVE YOUNG ELEPHANTS BEING SENT AWAY FROM ASSAM ?
Durga, Rupsing, Shiva, Hiralal & Bijuli are not objects to be transferred from one place to another. They are sentient, social beings who deserve dignity, natural movement and family bonds.
Before another elephant is transferred, the authorities must answer:
Where did these elephants come from?
Are their ownership, age, DNA and transfer records genuine and transparent?
Were all legal welfare requirements followed?
Why were young elephants moved such enormous distances?
Have their welfare and social needs been independently assessed?
Please Investigate. Verify. Protect.
And they separated from their mothers or families, where scientifically and individually feasible, bring them back to their families and a safe, suitable protected natural habitat.

Faith should protect life, not turn living beings into possessions.

This! How many more mothers have to cry like this before we understand that wild animals belong to the wild and not to us? If the current transfers are allowed to pass, more babies like Durga will suffer. Please speak up!

๐ RAJU THE INNOCENT ELEPHANT GOT HIS FREEDOM AFTER 50 YEARS.
BUT WHAT ABOUT THESE FIVE BABY ELEPHANTS NOW CHAINED IN TAMILNADU TEMPLES?
Raju spent five decades in captivity. It took rescuers just 45 minutes to cut away the chains that had imprisoned his legs.
Imagine what freedom could mean to an elephant after a lifetime of captivity.
Now imagine five much younger elephants whose futures are being shaped by captivity:
๐ Durga - 5 years
๐ Bijuli - 5 years
๐ Shiva - 6 years
๐ Hiralal - 8 years
๐ Rupsing - 13 years

They are young. Their lives should be ahead of them, not defined by chains, confinement and human-controlled routines.
Questions about their provenance and transfers have been raised, and those facts deserve complete independent scrutiny.
But one question is universal:
If Raju could finally be freed after 50 years, when will these five ever know freedom?
We must not wait decades.
Let their welfare, dignity, social needs and long-term future come first.
Raise your voice for the Five. ๐โค๏ธ

SAVE THE FIVE ๐
Were these five elephants gifted, donated, purchased or otherwise transferred?

The organisations have asked authorities to establish the complete ownership and acquisition trail of Durga, Rupsing, Shiva, Hiralal and Bijuli.
They have also raised questions regarding birth records, Ownership Certificates and transfer documentation.
These questions deserve an independent, transparent examination.
Set up an Independent SIT. Verify the Five. Stop further transfers of more elephants until the facts are established.

The organisations have also raised concern that they were informed that six more young elephants could soon be transported from Assam to Tamil Nadu.
Their request is straightforward:
Verify the existing five cases first.
Examine ownership and acquisition records.
Verify birth and age records.
Review transfer and transport documents.
Conduct independent veterinary assessments.
Then determine whether further transfers should proceed.
Set up an Independent SIT and establish the facts before more elephants are moved.
