At the September 30 Maricopa County Board of Supervisors meeting, concerns were raised about transitioning election equipment at 46 voting sites within hours.

When Supervisor Mark Stewart asked about hearing staff concerns, Chair Kate Brophy McGee responded:

“You’ve taken a staff-level concern and elevated it to this level.”

Exactly where should election-operation concerns go if not to the officials responsible for oversight?
