#Kanpur-based Ordnance Parachute Factory will produce the military combat parachute system developed by DRDO's Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment

The system payload capacity is 200 kg with maximum deployment altitude of 30,000 ft (9.1km) and could be deployed at the velocity of 280 kmph. The glide ratio is 4:1 with a canopy of 34 sqm.

GIL took forward the initiative of "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" by planting trees in GIL hq and OPF estate The event was led by Smt Nidhi Tiwari President Prayas Gliders welfare foundation with Varsha Date , Vaishali Dhapodkar Vice president and her team with active participation from all Officers, employees, their families, estate residents, school children.

This collective effort is a significant contribution towards a cleaner environment and a greener future.
