Joshua Loitu Mollel🕯️

Today, we held a farewell ceremony at Ben Gurion Airport. Joshua’s body now flies home to Tanzania.
Mungu ailaze roho yake mahala pema peponi ~ May God rest his soul in peace.

Only 21, an agricultural student in 🇮🇱Israel from 🇹🇿Tanzania. Barely weeks after Joshua arrived, Hamas terrorists took him hostage on October 7, 2023, then killed him in captivity in Gaza.

While Joshua wasn’t Israeli, over the past 2 years we adopted him into our hearts. An innocent life, full of promise, stolen too soon.

🚨BREAKING🚨🇮🇱Israel has this morning confirmed the identity of the murdered hostage who was brought back from 🇵🇸Gaza yesterday (Wed 5th Nov) after more than 2 years: Mr Joshua Loitu Mollel.

The 21-year-old 🇹🇿Tanzanian agricultural intern working in Southern Israel was kidnapped & murdered by Hamas terrorists on 7th October 2023.

May Joshua’s memory forever be a blessing.🕯️

Never let 🕋Islamic terror supporters claim that Joshua’s point-blank murder was justified.

This was not “resistance” against the UN-backed 1948 re-establishment of the State of Israel. There are no ifs, no buts, no “context” required — it was just disgusting terrorism, pure & simple.

This innocent Black man just wanted to learn farming for a better future. His life mattered. But no college campus students marched on the streets for him.

Hamas continues to hold onto 6 dead.

🟡 IDF representatives informed the family of Joshua Loitu Mollel that he has been returned for burial.

According to the information and intelligence available to the IDF:

Joshua Loitu Mollel, 21, was an agronomy student who arrived in Israel for agricultural training at the Ibim Agricultural Campus as part of his studies. He was murdered by the Hamas on Oct. 7th, 2023, and his body was abducted to Gaza.

He was kidnapped from the cowshed at Kibbutz Nahal Oz, where he worked, and his death was officially determined on December 13th, 2023. He leaves behind his parents, three sisters, and a brother.

The IDF expresses deep condolences to the family, continues to make every effort to return all the deceased hostages, and is prepared for the continued implementation of the agreement.

Hamas is required to fulfill its part of the agreement and make the necessary efforts to return all the hostages to their families and to a dignified burial.
