Indeed @mbehr_mcgill & @justin_denholm this is a clinical challenge. 🤔 If WHO endorses that 1.7 billion people have LTBI and an expected positive Quantiferon-TB test, is one uveitis out of 4 due to active ocular TB disease?
@robshorten@mbehr_mcgill@zchagla It’s part of the diagnostic workup for paucibacillary conditions like TB uveitis, for example. Pretty limited, and the evidence for that is weak, but it’s what we’re stuck with currently.
